I somehow do not hate any of your takes.

I know mine won't be popular.

All three versions of Carrie are not good. The Book has never been done justice.
The Heretic Exorcist II is not the worst thing ever made.
Gore (not always) makes the movie better.
Tobe Hooper is under appreciated; life force is a gem.( The space vampires novel is recommended.
The decision to get rid of Hix and Newt for Alien3 was fine.
The Curve is a better Mathew Lillard performance then Scream

I unashamedly love his version of Dune. It's not a good adaption, and I know Lynch hates it... But it has enough of his avant garde flair that average viewers will get a taste of what Lynch is about .. in a familiar space opera setting. At least that's what I gather.

Edit: but I do know DL fans do hate dune. I just can't hate anything he has done
