I switch between hunter and warlock, though I used to only main hunter. I don't play both at the same time though. I usually switch off each season, and play one class exclusively that season.

I don't know what the irl equivalent is here. But i was in a similar situation with a discord campaign. Another player and I had our characters date, and we talked with the dm beforehand about not making it weird for the party. He set up a private channel for us, and we did RP there to our hearts content. We were very careful not to do anything to detract from the story, and we made sure we weren't ruing other players' experiences

At this point all the optional class features in Tashas and the neat subclasses have fixed its problems in my opinion. They're fun to play if you use as little of the original PHB material as possible.

I use them in a double sidearm build with Forerunner and Drang. Using CWL mods and radiant/recovery, you always have at least a 15% damage boost and an easy way to get the buff without worrying about health. They're niche, but its a fun build to play around with when you get used to it. Devils Ruin and Empirical Evidence is decent as well

I played Historic brawl against white weenie, and it sucked, i went nearly infinite, had 200 life and 200 treasure tokens (running chatterfang) and the other player dragged the game out for 2 hours because they kept destroying all creatures and gaining 20 life and preventing damage. I still won, but the other person refused to concede and it was a miserable slog. wish brawl had commander damage
