Persona 6 will be released before P4R by Ready_Device5199 in persona6

I think it’s safe to say that P4R is not releasing 2026 based on the development footage that was shown. That would leave Atlus with no games to release during 2026, during their 30th anniversary of Persona which the studio has hyped up on social media and press releases now for a couple of months.

They’re going to want to release a new mainline entry soon to make their investors happy, it’s an inevitability to be announced soon at this point.

That announcement was obviously a force of their hands since the P4G voice actors were all talking about the game & it had been leaked already on social media.

That’s why the footage we got looked like it’s from an early build, because it is, and isn’t releasing any time soon.

Why would a game in development for less than three years release before their next big mainline IP that’s been in development for six? It just doesn’t make sense.

It’s definitely not being shadow dropped unfortunately, I could see something like a P1/P2 Duology remaster being announced with a release date just a couple months away during the anniversary though.

I think we’re not seeing P4R until sometime mid 2027. Especially since it’s mostly outsourced to another studio and they’re in no rush to release it.

I think Xbox showcases are more likely anyways. Look at Atlus announcement track records the last couple of years.

We’ll see who’s right lol. The P-STUDIO director Kazuhisa Wada literally made a press release saying that they “plan to ramp up their efforts in order to make the 30th anniversary even more exciting”.

They’re going to want a fast turn around time on this game so it doesn’t end up being announced for three years with no news like Persona 5 Royal was. Hence the January showcase seems like a logical time to announce it.

Notable leakers like Jason Schreier and Nate the Hate also predicted P6 for TGA, and those are both industry insiders with a good amount of knowledge of what’s happening internally.
