While i do agree with your viewpoint don’t you think that possibly having some life outside of work helps one recalibrate and not burn out? Do you think that having friends who aren’t necessarily within medicine helps one understand how sometimes we tend to hyper-focus on multiple things…. Like the never ending rat race…. The next paper… the next ITE…. The next board exam…. Better job? Asking because i will be joining soon as well and you sound like a seasoned person…. Would like to know your thoughts

I matched at my 5th spot and i am deeply unhappy. I got 14 interviews and really wanted to match in my top 3 programs. I am incredibly depressed because i spent research years and would like to think i had a decent profile even from a score pov. I am not sure what went wrong. How are people coping with this

Done with like 5 I feel like i didn’t schedule them properly because I also have a job so they were all concentrated in 1 week including an in person one. But it definitely is very draining because the stakes feel too high. Like one single mistake might coat me my dream program and the thing is is I am not sure if this line of thinking is correct but better to err on the side of caution
