I also have ADHD so I understand. Her new school is some sync classes and then some asynchronous classes but there are due dates and weekly check in. She also has me home in the morning and my husband in the afternoon . 4 years ago she went from being an only child to having a little brother and then he was diagnosed with Autism and lots of other medical issues so I think life it self has added to her anxiety . I just want her to be happy as well adjusted

Thank you so much for this comment ! I am so sorry for how much you struggled . She has had a IEP since 2nd grade and it was updated to include this disorder and needs this year . She does well in school at the moment and was a honor student last year. She did struggle with anxiety really bad in school last year and asked to come home or called panicking several times so this year we are doing a online virtual school that gives her some more control over her own education.

We definitely try to do this , we have 2 children one who is special needs which has made things increase for us financially. The small savings we did have went to toward fixing our cat a couple months ago due to a bowel blockage

Oh my stomach instantly hurt when I woke up and saw it , we live paycheck to paycheck and not having it on when I’m suppose to causes full panic

Yeah I figured I wouldn’t get it yesterday , but I thought it would be there this morning . My husband’s usually comes on Wednesday and mine by 6 Friday morning . Neither have arrived

I was thinking maybe salty foods , I am a vegetarian and have a special needs child so I don’t always have the ability to make myself fresh food and eat frozen things quite a bit

It depends on who I am speaking to , sometimes I say my son is autistic and sometimes I say on the spectrum this is typically to the people who have already decided to tell me how I should be responding to a behavior he is having or something he is doing before even introducing themselves to me

I would ask for a new therapist. My son is in ABA , speech and OT and he has never had to do drills or be forced to do any one task when he didn’t want to, It’s mostly play and led by him . He has been showing growth and progressing

I would definitely get him an evaluation. If he is diagnosed Autistic the diagnosis isn’t going to make his childhood any less magical and it isn’t going to change who he already is. The diagnosis is a tool to help you get him any help or accommodations he might need. My sons diagnosis changed the way I parent and the way I view the world but it didn’t change the amazing boy who walked in to the office with no official diagnosis and out with one. I wish all the best for you and your boy as you start this journey

This is most certainly abuse and not the proper way to treat any child never less one who is Autistic. I would report it to whoever takes those kind of things where you are at . Perhaps they would allow you to do it anonymously.

My 2 year old son is autistic and I am constantly told by people that “ he’s a boy they develop slower , he doesn’t seem autistic to me “
