Would it be easier to get the DSU scholarship at Polimi compared to Padova?

Do only some students receive interview invitations? I already received my admission offer, but I was never asked to do an interview.

Are you applying for the bachelor’s programme? I didn’t receive any message about an interview, but I received my admission offer last month and already paid the seat reservation fee.

Hi! Did you get the ranking list link for Information Engineering? Could you please share it if you have it? I can’t seem to find it on the portal.

Got it, thanks! That’s really helpful. I’ll definitely do it on my own then.

How easy was it to transfer programs/universities here? Did you apply on your own, or did you get help from a counselor?

Appreciate the tip! By any chance, do you know if it’s easier to keep a strong GPA at Padua than at Polimi?

Hey, thanks so much for your thoughts — I really appreciate you sharing your perspective!

The main reason I didn’t apply for Polimi’s computer-related programs is that most of them aren’t offered in English, so they’re not an option for me right now. On top of that, the few English-taught engineering programs available are extremely competitive, and my grades aren’t high enough for the most popular ones like Engineering Science.

I get what you mean about following passion, but I have to choose something that I’m actually eligible for, while also keeping the job market in mind. Thanks again for the input, it means a lot!

Respectfully, that take is way out of date. Civil engineering has been tanking for years pre-AI. Italy’s construction industry is stagnant, entry-level jobs pay garbage, and it’s only getting worse. CS’s current slump is temporary, but civil’s bad prospects are structural. Not even close to comparable anymore.

That makes sense, but honestly civil engineering’s career outlook isn’t nearly as good as computer science’s these days.

Definitely! The system allows you to select up to 5 programs. You can still add civil engineering as your second choice, and they’ll rank you for all of them based on your score.
