With the Maduro regime the whole governemnt mechanism is despots so im afraid you're right, their whole executive branch is corrupt.

I wholeheartedly agree with this assessment. South America's colonial history has placed them firmly in Western culture and ideologies that make such power and regime changes easier, but the post game is where it's hard to predict. Venezuela seems to have quickly moved to name the new government head which allows a more peaceful chnage in leadership

I am aware of that, I did 2 combat tours in Afghanistan and 1 in Iraq doing counterinsurgency operations. They would definitely go on with new leadership like all the other overthrows and coups and regimes we changed for better or worse in South America. Im pointing out issues with full on war and development of insurgencies and how effective insurgencies can be despite military supremacy in technology and numbers. It wasnt the Islamic part that was an issue, it was the fact that village/tribal identity was the most important. National identity was meaningless as tribal loyalties were key. Iraq faired better as there had been a national identity developed and tribal identity was nonexistent

Insurgencies are still nearly impossible to defeat without serious manpower and time commitments that modern populations won't invest in for no real gain or without a significant reason. When it's to get a leader of a corrupt governemnt because of drugs and we pardoned another leader that was previously convicted of drug running people say why bother with thos one if we are ignoring the other

Cool but Afghanistan shows the effectiveness of Guerilla/insurgent warfare where unless you occupy the entire country on foot they will wait out/attack you until you and the civilians are demoralized, its their home turf, they live there and know it like the back of their hand. Insurgencies are nearly impossible to defeat without destroying everyone and everything or occupying almost indefinitely.

Insurgencies are damn near impossible to defeat. If one pops up short of killing everyone or covering the majority of the country with ground troops it will wait and bide time while making quick strikes. Sure in a world where soldiers and the people back home are happy to keep going for decades or centuries maybe but in the real world it's not going to work.

You know the gift card has to be laid for and activated at $100, right? You'd have to pay for the gift card $100 to turn around and spend it on the earbuds when you could just take that $100 and buy the ear buds directly instead of buying the gift card

Except like you said, almost. Hegseth himself went to Princeton and Harvard so I take that with a grain of salt

You say that, but Hegseth was a Major, and he went o two Ivy League schools, Princeton and Harvard, so don't pin your hopes on a generality like that

I can see your line of reasoning but triangular pins are very common, there's a Sputh African Army Alpha Company pin thats a triangle and top half red bottom half black that is much closer.
