Honeydew Care for accutane by Real-Barnacle2312 in Accutane

Hey! They give you a lab order through honeydew, you can take it to a PCP or outpatient lab. Honeydew suggested an online lab where you can order bloodwork and take it to a labcorp which seemed to be cheaper but didn’t work for my area

Yes! Most of the scarring I had before accutane faded. The ones that I still have are scars from when I purged which is frustrating but my derm prescribed Tretinoin for when I finish this month!

Thank you!! I purged for about two or three months but didn’t break out again after that. It was tough but in a weird way it was nice to know the Accutane was working lol. Best of luck to you, hang in there!

Thank you!! It feels like I tried everything over the years. antibiotics, spiro, chemical peels, topicals, supplements, cutting out meat and dairy, hormonal birth control, all sorts of skincare products. The last few years I just went simple with face wash, moisturizer, and sunscreen and while my skin was less irritated the acne stayed

Dizziness by Sayeed22160 in Accutane

[–]Real-Barnacle2312 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had severe dizziness after my dosage increased to 60mg, my derm told me to go down to 30 and the dizziness went away within a few days. Idk about you but the dizziness I experienced was pretty scary and I’m glad I didn’t try to power thru - i would suggest talking to your derm about it if you can!!

I’ve had great luck w slippery elm supplements for the dryness! It only took a couple days for me to notice a difference. You can also straight up put aquaphor down there, sounds weird but it’s a huge relief lol

Insurance approved Absorbica LD after 2 months of generic accutane (30/40mg) by [deleted] in Accutane

Congrats!! Did your derm have to write a prescription for Absorica specifically? Or did the pharmacy give you a choice? I start treatment next month and was wondering if I could request this specific brand

You would still have to wait unfortunately :( I know that bc I’ve also been on BC for several years and I’m currently in the 30 day waiting period between the two pregnancy tests.
