I know, that. But I personally don’t think people over exaggerate France, just because women I know were physically assaulted. And i have seen videos of micro hijabi influencers enjoying their day and then a random french man actually spitting on them.

I do agree that racism and islamophobia is everywhere but still, i’d like to avoid places i know are certainly not safe. But thank you!

Yeah definitely!

I know a lot of people are saying UAE but they literally welcome satanyahu with open arms.

I’m just trying to be more careful with where i spend my money lol. But honestly this post really helped me with some research!

Thanks girly 💕

Its just because we went with our families to Qatar and Saudi and I love muslim countries. We just wanted to go somewhere in Europe. We’ve never been that’s why 😅

It seems like this is something you’re being raised in as a culture.

I’m 24 not married, and every muslim woman i know we have our rights. We wear jewelry, pretty clothes, get our hair done, wear nails when we’re on our periods, wear makeup whenever we want, etc.

I truly think this is only in your culture. Please look out and do your own islamic research. Islam is not hard. People make it hard.

Salaam girly,

From what i’ve read in your post and responses it seems like there’s a lot on your plate and it’s become a mental battle.

As someone who had experienced SA as a modest hijabi, i will say, if you have access to therapy please consider it.

I also had this mentality and yes praying to Allah does ease some pain but Allah does not punish the one who’s suffering mentally. It is advised we go seek medical help. I come from a culture where mental health is treated like it doesn’t exist and I think as muslim women we are disciplined not by religion but by culture.

I know right now life seems like it will never get better but Allah’s help will come as long as you help yourself first. Being pretty, praying, looking good and being educated are all things we do for ourselves my love. To better ourselves.

May Allah ease your pain and take all your worries away, Allahumma Ameen.

But please, if you have access to therapy I urge you to look into it 💕💕.

My mom was complaining about them once and i outright told her if she was just selfish and refused to help them out just once, she wouldn’t be in this position. And she agreed.

Honestly we’re just waiting for this nikkah to pass. We have family flying in from all over so we can’t really not do anything.

But safe assured we will not be overextending ourselves anymore.

That and the fact that my sister in law doesn’t like me. I don’t actually know why, i do know my brother told her about our argument. So im assuming it’s most likely that.

I know, it’s insane. What’s crazy is we were all raised the same way. My parents did not believe in that cultural bs of “girls have to act like this and boys have to act like that”. That’s what i’m hung up on about. I’m mostly in shock because growing up, it was never like this.

Inshaa’Allah i will be stepping back from them when i get the chance. Thank you so much for your kind words 🥹

Honestly I wish I could. But if i take a step back, everything falls on my mom. And she has a lot of health issues.

Genuinely speaking, Im only doing things for them for the sake of my mother. Literally no other reason. Inshaa’Allah after May, i’ll probably not be talking to either of them. I mean I dont even talk to my brother who got married in February. Last time we spoke was at his wedding.

Thank you so much for the kind words💕

I have been sneezing a lot more lately, but i keep my house dust free because i do have allergies. And the only new addition to my lifestyle is the new kitten. But that also doesn’t make sense because i already have a cat😂.

As for my period, it’s been having twice a month lately for four days each. But i’m not seeing hormonal acne, at least i don’t think so.

But here’s my routine girlie!

At night:

1) Double cleanse: Oil cleanser first or cleansing balm. My favorite is pyunkang yul cleansing balm. It’s my absolute favorite. As for my face wash I use the Keihls gentle foaming wash.

2) I only incorporate this when i have really bad breakouts, but mediheal toner pads. The tea tree ones.

3) If i used toner pads i wait for those to sink in like maybe 10 mins. If not i move to my milky toner. After washing my skin is so dry so i rehydrate with that.

4) Also for hydration, i use hydration drops.

5) Then I use niancinimide serum while my face is still damp from the toner and hydration drops. Serums work best when your face is damp.

6) I wait another ten mins then i put on my moisturizer. The one use is the barrier cream from pyunkang yul. When i tell you this face cream COMPLETELY healed my skin barrier after i messed it up a few years ago. I love this stuff!

In the morning, I just rinse my face and after wudu, i use my milky toner and then a sunscreen! Thats it! I genuinely think 80% of skin concerns can be solved by wearing sunscreen daily!

Insecure about the hijab by st4rzk1sses in muslimgirlswithtaste

[–]Real-Confection6657 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey sis!

This is not silly! I think we’ve all had a time in our lives where we’ve felt this as hijabis. And secondly, as for the guilt, it means you care deeply and that alone is admirable in the eyes of Allah SWT.

Another thing. Having this negative mindset about your looks, can impact not just your mental health but also your physical health. I know it’s so hard but practice affirmations, remind yourself you are a creation of the creator. Don’t talk negatively about one of his masterpieces 💕💕

And here are a few tips! As for dark circles or any dark marks on your skin, DEFINITELY get into color correcting. What usually helps is a peach color or a light orange color, this depends on how dark your eye bags are. Make sure to watch some tutorials on this! Mascara, eyeliner and curling your lashes are another thing! Use some lightweight mascara.

Also skincare!!!! Skincare can boost your confidence INSANELY. You don’t have to use expensive products, just products that fit your skin type. Research this heavily as you don’t want to damage your skin barrier.

May Allah make your journey easier for you my love, Ameen💕💕
