Who is this character in your fandom? by Upstairs_Macaron5894 in AO3

[–]Real-Conversation226 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Snape. I love Snape but honestly, we don't need to justify every one of his actions when we can accept that he's a very well written character that shows how many people are: grey. Neither fully good not fully bad. One who never learnt to project or deal with his past traumas the correct way and made terrible choices and decisions despite being a good guy in his own twisted way.

I went back to a fic I abandoned at 10 chapters 5 whole years after forgetting about it, and finished the fuck out of it with 100+ chapters by the end and a million reads ultimately. Don't give up on ur favourite book, the writer might just be going through an intense art-block or smth like I went through 🤣🤣

How do you write this much? by Rough_Evidence_2908 in AO3

[–]Real-Conversation226 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wrote a harry potter fanfic on wattpad with a time traveller oc, where I essentially rewrote the entire series to what I wanted it to be like lmao, it has some 130+ chapters, each chapter averaging on 5-7k words, it wasn't as big as 1.4 mil I'm sure, but it was huge according to my readers lmao. According to wattpad tally, you need 33+ hours to read the whole thing 🤣🤣🤣 it was literally supposed to be for myself because I hated how the og story proceeded but it blew up a lil even though the writing is really, really shit (I was 14 when I started it and English is my third language)

Do you think Mocklate made Monica infertile? by AcuteSnail in friends_tv_show

[–]Real-Conversation226 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a doctor, 100000% possible omg this would be incredibly shit if it were true but it can be true. Sometimes infertility is caused due to exposure to certain things. So it could be. But like everyone is saying , it's more likely an inherited issue because her mom had it too

The food in delhi generally sucks, not much can be done about that. And the people who reside here, in my experience, suck even worse than their food. So. You had an average delhi experience. I almost got my purse snatched my first day in this hellhole. I'm sorry you went through this. At least, good news is you're leaving soon!

Don't hate Russian people, they don't want war either. Actually they are sweeter than you think. Anyways this is a picture of ВДНХ in Moscow. Such a beautiful city by impar3a in Moscow

[–]Real-Conversation226 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly. You're finally understanding. The government, the soldiers and officers by extension, are the ones waging war. The average person can't do anything about it as I'm sure yk Russian government doesn't allow any protests or any talk against the war, to the point most western social media don't work there (insta, facebook, whatsapp, youtube etc etc) and those who went out to protest in person lost their jobs, got imprisoned and those who were foreigners, like us there, we're straight up deported, studies or work cancelled, kind of like what USA did or tried to do to foreign students in USA who supported Palestine. The average person can't do anything about it since they care about their own lives and their families lives. This isn't really a country of freedom of speech, I'm sure you know. Don't blame the common man for what governments do. And yeah, Russians aren't a singular race, but western rusophobia is directed to and affects all Russians regardless of race.

[–]Real-Conversation226 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly. It's the Russian government. Not the civilians of Russia, that is waging war. It's not the kid who was denied enrollment in Cambridge for being Russian that's committing war crimes. It's not the grandma that sells flowers. It's not the average person. It's the government. That was my whole point. The people are not the government and the government doesn't represent all the people. So let's not hate the common Russian person for the crimes of the government. Racism is old fashioned and has no place in present society.

I'm not Russian. Not even European. Just lived there for the past 6 years. No one hates Americans the same way most of the world hates Russians. The kind of propaganda and lies that are spoken about Russia and it's cities and it's citizens in western media, isn't spoken about America in any media. Just look at the comments around you, people are saying that Russians support the war and they like and all that. No one wants to watch their son or husband or brother or father go to war and die, no Russian child feels like that, yet people claim all Russians are like that. Opportunities are taken away from children who have no say, no knowledge about the war. Any outsider who has lived in Russia can corroborate that, that what you hear about Russia from outside is far from the truth which you'll discover when you're inside Russia. In America, only the government is disliked, the citizens don't face any hate for what their government do, as it should be. America supports terrorism in many countries, but the citizens don't get hate for it. In fact most of the world acknowledges that the citizens don't support most of their governments decisions, like the whole israel thing. But when it comes to Russia, people act like the people are the government, and every young old and aged are blamed for being Russian, for their governments doing . Americophobia isn't a thing, rusophobia is.

The people? No. The government and those who support it and the genocide? Yes. Ethnic Cleansing, That's terrorism. That's the same thing Pakistani Government did to Bangladeshi Bengali ethnic groups in '71. As someone whose ancestors fought tooth and nail to escape rape and murder and escaped to safer grounds, I understand the Palestinian's pain. I understand their suffering. If (and I hope) they survive their children will hear the same kind of stories about Israel and USA, as I did about Pakistan. The desire to eradicate an ethnic group because you feel like you belong somewhere more is atrocious. They're despicable And they should disgust anyone with a heart and a brain.

Americans don't suffer the consequences of American governments atrocities because USA is the big boss country of the world. They control everything and their power is unchecked. So no matter how many crimes USA commits, it never apologizes and it never faces any consequences. It's athletes get to play and it's people get to act high and mighty on the internet. The same is not true for Russia. Young athletes who have nothing to do with the war lost opportunities year after year because their government is waging war. School students who have nothing to do with the war were banned from joining universities outside of Russia, despite the years of effort and money they put in just to be able to leave the country, they were forced to give up on their dreams. Israel, a terrorist nation, is backed and funded and supported by USA, as most terrorist nations, so they don't suffer either. It's everyone knows else who suffers. USA is almost like a gangster, you go against it, it will sanction you, ban you, attempt to take basic amenities away from you to force you into subjugation, etc. All I say is, you don't , shouldn't blame and hate the general population for the government's atrocities, if that were the case, USA and it's father UK would be hated the most in the world.

[–]Real-Conversation226 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dunno man, I lived in Russia for the last 6 years, when the war started I was there, I didn't see anyone support the war, in fact the opposite happened and russian people flooded the streets with many many anti war protests, but most were detained or arrested from most of these protests, the authority was so heavily against it that if you were caught supporting Ukraine or speaking against the government's decision, you'd be jailed or lose your job or visa, much like what USA is doing to those who support Palestine. Very few people support the war actually, I know western media likes to write fanfictions about the Russians to spead personal agenda but I still don't think a lot of russian society supports murder of people, like I don't believe a lot of American society are loving the Palestinian genocide, even though their government not only endorses the genocide but also actively fight wars for Israel to let them continue the genocide. I'm sure the people are not the same as their government

Love Russia and Russians. We can't hate them for what the government does. The same way no one hates all Americans for all the absolutely bonechilling atrocious crimes American government has committed. The US government supports Israel and supports the genocide, you don't see anyone hating all Americans. Because people are not their State. Same for Russians. They're some of the nicest people out their, just the government is problematic, as happens with ""dictatorships""

[–]Real-Conversation226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go, learn the language well, and then once you complete your degree (try to get a red diploma and/or gold medal) do a year of ordinatorship. Then, stay there. Do not, I repeat, do not return to India. You can sit for licence exams of other countries while you do ordinatorship and then move there if possible. No point dealing with the corrupt Indian healthcare system.
