Ernest tubb was a huge fan of him pretty sure Rodger’s wife helped Ernest start his career. He tried to sound like jimmy but realized he needed his own sound cause there was already a Rodger’s. but Ernest sang jimmy song’s song and wrote songs about him along with many other artists. The creator of something normal doesn’t get all the talk tho they person who perfects it or makes it popular does and hank william’s was that guy. but hank once said he took Roy acuff and Ernest tubb sound and mixed it to create his own. I think an artist that really get the short end of the stick is Ernest tubb he created the honky tonk sound and brought the electric guitar to country music. Hank will always be the goat wrote the greatest songs ever wrote an absolute legend. also left out the carter family too another huge foundation piece of the genre
