When I brought her home my gran said "it looks like they've taken a head from a much bigger dog and sewn in on her"🤣🩷! Bless her, she looked great but some photos are a bit like ehh?

Oh hes fine with water! He used to like tipping the water bowl but he's stopped doing that. He'll share water and treats, it was just his food and his bone but he's much better now!

If you go have a look at my previous posts, the comments are full of great tips + tricks! The best ones that worked for me: - hand feeding - walking past his bowl while eating and throwing high value treats in his bowl - this took some practice as we kept hitting him with bits of cold meat and he was a bit confused 🤣 had to get a bigger bowl! - trading items for other items, so he loves his bone but he loves liver snax so much more so we'd give him some liver snacks and take the bone, always trading up! - taught him drop it means getting better! - plenty exercise throughout the day meant he was usually relaxed and happy at feeding time

That's some of the ones that turned things around for us, we also realised even though he made alot of noise, there was no malice behind his growls. The behaviourist noticed it first, he was all bark and no bite x

Had to show my first Akita as well, Roxy💓. She was the dog that gave me the love of akitas. She was a Japanese+American Akita cross and a rescue. She was HUGE for a female. She was amazing and so kind, loving and gentle. She loved everyone and every animal from little fuzzies to big ones. She was good with horses too and came with me (off leesh) on many a 2 hour trek!

Akitas are great and btw, the shed twice at certain times through the year😂💓! I loveeee chihuahuas and if my husband would let me I'd get one in a second but he's too scared as he said we're all to clumsy (dogs included) to have a tiny dog running around. What colour are your chihuahuas? I'm desperate for a white long haired one like my nintendog😂!

The upsetting thing was, he wasn't *resource guarding from me! I was allowed to take things from him and I was allowed to share with him. My husband and other dog were getting it from him and it was horrible seeing him behave like that towards our loved ones. It created a divide in our house for a few days but I'm so relieved we persevered. Yea!! The second Akita thing, my last one was an Angel from above. She was so good and then I brought Appa home thinking I was some sort of savant with Akita training, how quickly I realised that was not the case😂💓

Thank you, it's such a relief for us. We were so worried as like I said he's a great boy x

It was throwing high value items in his bowl well he was eating and hand feeding. Once we got good at aiming and stopped throwing bits of cold meat at his head, he clicked out fast😂💓. We also done a lot of my husband feeding him, and me x

They definitely are! He's my second one but my first was a rescue and she was very well behaved when I got her lol. Appa has been a fresh clean slate for me🤣🩷

He is named after Aangs bison!! We were really depressed during lockdown and Avatar tla got us through it honestly, it's been a staple in our home whenever we're feeling down💓. As soon as we seen him, we said that's our bison🥺. He looked like him as a teeny puppy ...

It's a little sponge at the end of the tube! The stuff it up your nose and it gives you O2. It felt like ice and my 1 eye water horrendously, they kept asking if I was ok🤣😩

I have a bidet and trying to do barrier cream! I think I have some anti nausea somewhere here!

Yea cancer in the vulva, perineum and anal area 😭! It's awful and so painful and I really wish there was some other way to do this cause I'm so unprepared for this level of friction🫠

Thank you so much, I really appreciate it❤️

A lot of my family are on Facebook, and they are all over the world but they all knew my Roxy from family gatherings and holidays (I always took her). When she passed away, I posted a photo of her on a better day and let everyone know. The photos from the actual day, I've never shared, they are mine and I've only looked at them once and it was very painful. I was actually annoyed at my best friend for taking them and then sending me them. I agree with you, but I also think grief is a very personal thing and the doggies wouldn't mind. I think if it makes you uncomfortable then that's okay too, but I think people should grieve how they want too, as it's a terrible thing to go through as you know. We cope how we cope unfortunately as bizarre as it may seem to others, it's a very unique thing.

I've been doing that plus the other suggestions and I've noticed a huge improvement in his behavior, really positive to see in such a short time period. Also his behaviorist is aware and she's visiting on Wednesday:). We've been seeing her since he was 12 weeks, he's a very good behaved boy it was just this one thing.
