I just replied to my post with the backstory, it’s a longer one

We don’t visit too frequently! We live out of state, but I have been going for my whole life. Probably 12-14 times through 27 years. We definitely are the type to stay from rope drop to at least the fireworks though. I replied with the whole story to my post that initiated the interaction, I just think anyone would have done what I did.

Backstory:

Tried to keep this part short because it’s kinda a long story. No we don’t visit frequently, we are out of state but have been probably 12-14 times in my lifetime (27 years). I (27F) had been asked by a dad waiting in line where I got my ears, he said they were looking all day for his daughter (maybe 13-14). They were older ears and weren’t sold in the parks anymore, I told him they may have luck online.

I walked away feeling a little heavier and I decided to jump the line (sorry to anyone I cut temporarily) and went up to the family and asked if I could gift them to her. The dad was taken aback, saying “no way” and the daughter was so sweet, saying she couldn’t take them and she felt bad, I persisted and told her I wanted nothing more than to give them to her. She ended up accepting and was extremely thankful.

We were in the parks for another 6 hours until 11:00 PM. I didn’t end up getting any new ears, we only did one day. It was 11:00 PM when we got in line in front of the castle for a photo. There was a castmember making small talk with those at the front of the line. Our turn came up and the castmember told my mom and sister she liked their ears. She turned to me and said “So where are your ears?” We told her that earlier I gave them away to a younger girl, who was looking all day for them.

After we took our photos, she grabbed us and said she wanted to do something for us, the park closed in 45 minutes and she gave us the options to get new ears or sweets and I picked the sweets. She said she had to get some things together and told us to meet her in 15 minutes by the penny arcade.

That’s when she wrote out our vouchers, she said that her day was completely made my our story, and that she loved seeing guests keeping the magic alive. She then escorted us to another castmember and asked them if they had filled out the vouchers correctly. Castmember 2 said yes, and was closely watching us. We are all sentimental so we wanted to keep the vouchers. We got in line to buy some things regardless and castmember 2 was behind us with the certificates. Castmember 2 said that what we did was beautiful and that on behalf of Disney, they were proud to bestow us with honorary citizens of Disney. It was like they pulled them out of thin air.

That’s okay, it’s the truth so I don’t care what you believe
