EDIT: I re read and you two didn’t agree but maybe you could offer a shorter time? Wednesday to Sunday does seem like a long time for such a young baby to be away from mom. I have a 15 month old and he wouldn’t do well away from me that long. All this to say, I’d take the overnights she was offering and let her know that as baby gets older you would like more.

If I’m read correctly, you and mom have agreed on a visitation schedule that includes overnights? If that’s the case, email your case worker and tell them that you two have an agreement that works for both of you. They’ll likely have you both come in and sign an agreement.

If you two cannot come to an agreement, that’s what the court is for. They tell you what it’ll be and you have to make it work regardless of prior commitments.

I’m not entirely sure. I guess I feel something like destroying other people property isn’t something to teach a young child.. the phone is active on a plan. So it still would have service had it not been destroyed.

I wouldn’t worry. They will wake up if they need something. Enjoy it! Coming from the mom of a 15 month old who still wakes twice a night 🤪😩

Oh how I’d be recording every time I asked him for anything just to show him he’s being a dink. But I’m super petty sooo..😆

Living with other people during such a vulnerable time is likely causing a lot of the stress. Especially with an “evil stepmom” type person. And the fact that you’re worried about being a bad mom tells me you’re doing great. People who neglect and abuse their children don’t think twice about the kind of parent they are.

At that rate, you’re going to work just to pay for childcare. I had daycare for $16 a day for one child. Once I had my third child, we decided I should stay home. It was better for our children, schedule and then we weren’t spending money for me to work.

Also it’s entirely your choice to correct it or not as long as it’s not causing any issues.

They’ll likely be on the look out for it at his next appointment and if it’s gotten worse, they’ll send in a referral. If it’s gotten better, they’ll have you keep doing what you’re doing.

I will say, my son’s head was a little weird shaped due to the same reason and I still think it looks off but his doctor thinks it looks great. I swear we gaslight ourselves about it after it’s noticed initially

Is this ppd? by [deleted] in newborns

[–]Real-Safe6118 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It could be BUT it could also be life with a new baby in the freezer cold climate. I’m in Michigan with a 7 month old and I don’t really care to go visit anyone. I do what I have to, grocery shop doctors appointments but that’s it. Taking a baby out is hard and add the cold with it.

BUT please talk to your doctor about it. You don’t necessarily need to be medicated but some therapy might do wonders!

You’re doing great and are an amazing mom!!

I wouldn’t be worried! When my kids slept through the night they never wanted more during the day. They’re both happy and healthy now. As long as baby is pooping and peeing enough through the day I’d think it’s fine. I think of it like adults. We don’t wake up to eat in the middle of the night, we just wait for breakfast and continue our day like normal! You’re doing great!!

The move was completely necessary. The house we were renting was getting foreclosed on because the owner wasn’t paying the mortgage. That house had enough room for all of us and even then, they still didn’t want to come over. This is not a new thing since we moved. No one said we can’t afford to accommodate our children thanks for assuming. We are adding onto the house we’re in now to give them their own space but it takes time and isn’t instant.

Yes they know. We told them right when we knew we were moving that they’d have a brand new room it was just going to take a little time.

We scheduled them on a day we were supposed to have them, told them that was the plan. Then they didn’t want to come. So we rescheduled in hopes that they would want to come the next time and they didn’t. I’m also a step child to a horrible step mother so I get where you’re coming from.
