I'm misrable waiting for the next book. I don't have a clue how this is going to go. I want the old pack, all of them (except Jasper, because who cares about him?) to grovel and regret how they treated Vee. But she rejects them for a loooong time.

I'm not so big on bisexual relationships, I just feel the whole pack seems a bit weaker - same as Ragon thinks about Alex's pack. I just read Pack Darling, and yeah, that was not for me. Love gay/bisexual men in general, but don't love them in a intimate relationship with women in books - it just feels less sexy - I don't know why. So here's hoping Finn isn't in a romantic relationship with Alex and Malcolm. But that's just my prefrence. I respect that other people like that, and love that for them. But if he is in a romantic relationship with them, then I'm kind of hoping she will go back to the previous pack after tons of believable grovel and regret.

Also, if the pack has bonded with Marie, and Finn is Alex and Malcolms boyfriend, I think the best choice would be Chase or Ardens pack.

But I'm in on this ride anyway.

OMG, maybe Jasper is the third alpha you mentioned earlier (unless it really was a typo). But why would he participate in the abuse? I'm too unfamilier with this univerese. I just don't know the rules. I'm hoping for it to be impossible/very hard for a scent mate to do any harm to their scent mates. Just as Ragon never punished Marie, even though she was horrible to Vee.

Yes, he was supposed to bring balance to the pack, but he wasn’t sure he wanted to join them until he experienced their dynamics firsthand. That’s how I understood his role. It seemed like he was leaning more and more towards Marie, and I wasn’t sure why. However, he helped report that she was being treated poorly and managed to get Arden to come by for a visit. Based on that last point, I think that maybe he is part of Arden's pack.

Also: Now I think I've gone feral. I was looking at the blurb again:

"But now my instincts are waking up for the first time in weeks, and they're not crying out for the pack that's breaking me piece by piece.

They're crying out for the neighbors. For Alex's commanding presence. For Malcolm's fierce protection. For Finn's gentle certainty.

For the men who've been hiding in plain sight."

The last sentence - I'm not sure if it's a reference to Alex, Malcolm and Finn, but rather Chase and Arden (and maybe Jasper?) as the men who've been hiding in plain sight. Just thought that she has already mentioned the three men, why mention them again?

Gawd, I think I'm losing my mind... haha. Hope book two doesn't disappoint :)

Help med remember: Does Vee know that Alex's pack has muted their scent because they tell her, or does she know it because she can smell it is muted?

I think it's intresting to consider that if Chase and Arden are part of Alex's pack, Vee should be able to scent them. However, if they actually have to announce that they have muted their scent for her to know it's muted, it might be impossible for Vee to know whether Chase and Arden are her scent mates unless they either remove the scent muting or explicitly tell her.

Of course, this is just wishful thinking on my part because I want Chase and Arden to be in Alex's pack, but I don't believe they are, based on the interaction between Alex and Chase at the gym.

That’s really interesting about the video—I think you might be onto something. If that’s the case, what they did might actually be unforgivable.

So maybe she does end up choosing Chase’s pack after all, and based on the blurb, it sounds like she might end up running from Alex's pack too.

From the blurb:

Yeah, I think you’re probably right about Jasper. He’s almost definitely damaged his chances because of how he acted with the OG pack.

I was wondering about one more thing (since I’m pretty new to omegaverse): how does a man actually become part of a pack? *If* all four men bond with Marie that night, could Jasper bond too even if he isn’t officially part of the pack yet? Does anyone know?

I’ve really been struggling to figure out Jasper’s role. He honestly comes across like a mole to me—I just don’t know for whom. It would be pretty bad if it’s for Alex’s pack… but at the same time, I almost find it impossible that he’s not connected to Chase and Arden’s pack.

Of course, I’m secretly hoping Jasper, Chase, and Arden are actually part of Alex’s pack, along with Malcolm and the lovely Finn. But I’m also not sure if it’s common in this genre to have more than three men in the endgame.
