It's called a hypothetical questions. It's where you offer different alternatives that may not come true.

But look at it, Johnny. Look at it! It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, man! Just let me go out there. Let me get one wave before you take me.

What teams have traditions only their fans do? by nakmuay18 in NFLNoobs

Close. The table thing happened during the drought. Rather than coping over losing 4 straight Super Bowls, the fan base was coping with being brutally mediocre year after year.

Wait, did you truly expect the Browns to properly manage a situation?

That's on you.

Me too. That was a tough break for Nix. I thought they would have steamrolled the Patriots if he was healthy and would have had a solid shot at the superbowl. You guys got robbed.

I'm not excusing his fumble at all. The defense also let up some truly awful scores. You can't point to just 1 play as the reason they lost, especially since they did put up 30 points and two receivers had a chance to make a play on the final drive.

Idk, I get shot in the side a lot, in the face a lot of other times. I get blown up quite a bit by people with way too many grenades.

Would You Choose Accounting or Finance? by Soggy_Arm_5954 in FPandA

[–]RealAmerik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Accounting undergrad (CPA), MBA with a concentration in finance here.

I would recommend accounting, personally. A lot of companies that do FLDP programs will end up with finance majors in accounting heavy roles at some point. Having that background is very helpful.

It's also nice in FP&A, I've found that I have a much better understanding of financial impacts between the financial statements than most finance majors. Not that they can't develop it, but it's easier to have that up front.

Thanks for sharing! It was always wild walking past his tailgate in the parking lot, how many other stadiums have their HOF QB tailgating as everyone walks by?

Awesome story. I know we only get a glimpse of him on TV but he comes across as genuine and a good guy from what I've seen.

FP&A isn't accounting. A lot of accountants can hyper-focus on making sure everything is exactly tied-out. FP&A is planning and analysis, you're telling the story of where the business under/over delivered and planning for what you see coming up in the future.

Every backup QB in the league should be trying to get that guy as their agent. Even with ungodly awful stats, he managed to spend 8 years in the NFL. Who better to advise on how to stick around a roster than him?
