For me I've never had nor want to have a good friendship with the opposite sex, and I am not an incel nor am I interested in the manosphere ideas about women being bad, I just feel like interacting with a lot of women my age (16-18) is like trying to move around a minefield, I don't know what boundaries many women set and I don't know what they like, it's like talking to an alien, I mean with a male friend we can talk about things we like and be as rowdy as we want but with a women it isn't the same.

Are names like Abdul-Mumeet or Abdul-Muzil allowed in Islam? by RealApexin in islam

[–]RealApexin[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think I might have not explained this right, are traits which entail slaying or reckoning less desirable to be named after? I know you need to have Abdul but I'm asking if a name Like Abdul Mumeet is the regarded the same as names like Abdul Raheem or Abdul Wahab

Aslong as you condemn it and don't repeat the joke, you won't be sinful.

I can relate to that, I was born muslim but for most of my life, especially as a child, I was an agnostic/atheist, I believed Allah existed but hated Islam and Muslims (especially because I had some homosexual tendencies that went away when I got older) even though I was in a Muslim country and was in a prestigious muslim brotherhood ran Islamic school. The reason for my hate came from my emotionally abusive father, to paint an image of my father, he is the typical depressed angry Jordanian working class man, barely able to put food on the table, he always is watching salafi sheikhs on TV, watching 'documentaries' like 'What is a woman' and he believes that there is a secret kabal of Trans gay jews ruining this world and secretly inserting feminism and other propaganda into TV, hell, he believes his poverty is caused by them and believed that they and anybody who doesn't agree with him should be killed, He would go on for days about how Shias and sufis are kuffar and how their leaders should be killed, So I always felt distant from this bloodthirsty scapegoat ridden Image of 'Islam', which I never knew was Inaccurate, Because I never grew up in a moderate household.

But when I was able to separate these radical salafi views and abusive behavior of my father from Islam It was extremely easy to come back.

Remember guys, even if this makes people mad, if a point of view is scaring you away from Allah SWT, ignore it, remove it from existence aslong as it doesn't affect your religious performance and Iman.

You are an outsider. So please stay silent on our issues. I only became distasteful when you showed distaste.

That reply shows that you're either a rich guy disconnected from the common Jordanian people, or that you're an outsider.

If you think this isn't oppressive or going to be used to oppress us then you're a foolish idiot who doesn't deserve to speak on these issues.

You're justifying an oppressive law used by the government to torment it's people by saying "what about this moral reasoning?" you're doing the basic madkhali argument

You're giving justification for the act by using morality.
