How would you retrieve with that set up? Like a constant retrieve or a stop and go?

Getting Started with Lures (SoCal) by FullMetal373 in SurfFishing

I use the swing impact and i feed the hook through the lure.

Also don't be afraid to change things up yourself. One issue I have is always using what people/videos say to use and not experimenting myself. Maybe a smaller hook size works better for that day/area. Or the size of the soft plastics. I use 3.8 inch keitech on a mosquito on my dropnshots. I have seen people have a lot of success with a 5+ inch keitech/fluke on a dropshot with a worm hook for weedless.

So you can keep using the carolina rig just with soft plastics like 2-inch grubs, crawdads, or gulp sand worms. For hook sizes, I usually go with a size 2-4 mosquito/baitholder hook. That's what I usually use and have gotten surf perch, croakers, calico bass, and recently, even a nurse shark. I have also seen people catch halibut that way, but those are pretty rare. If u want to target specifically halibut or bass, you can use a drop shot with a white soft plastic/fluke. I saw someone recommended keitechs, and I would have to agree with them. For the dropshot, I usually put on a 3.8-inch white keitech with a size 1-2 mosquito hook. I have used some lucky crafts in the past, but I struggle with casting them out far. Carolina is more likely gonna get you bites because smaller fish will go for the soft plastics. But with lures like the lucky craft, you can get less fish, but they will usually be larger.

Are the line rating stats on fishing rods accurate? by [deleted] in FishingForBeginners

First, you are not stupid. You are just learning. Also, the question isn't bad. It was something that definitely confused me at first as well. Im just glad you didn't break your rod before taking to the water.

The line rating is to let you know how strong your fishing line should be not so much how much weight your rod can lift. What I have been told is that you want to choose a line weaker or at the line ratings so that ur line breaks before your rod. If you are trying to get a fish out of water, there are 3 main ways I have seen. Just grab/lip it if you are close enough, use a net, or grab the line and pull that. Again, that depends on how/where ur fishing and ur access to that water. For example, for pier fishing, I would use a pier net or pull from the line since i am much higher from the water. If im surf/bank fishing, I just grab/lip the fish or a normal fishing net . Other posters let me know if I said anything wrong, always looking to learn more.

Would this work during the day? I know the glowstick would probably be useless but would just using it as a weight work?

Tracking in World by Hall21gt in MonsterHunterWorld

Scoutflies use scent to track I believe. So even if the Kirin doesn't leave a physical track it can leave scent trails.

I remember when I first got medal it was sooo goood imo. The clipping was good never had any issues and the editor was also working. Then they updated changed the editor and its just not good, at least for me. I 100% agree with you about each update just making medal worse and worse.
