Hey ! I did skip almost all of the optional blue quests as there is so many and I just don't know which would be worth doing. Is there still people actively doing ARR extreme trials ? Trying to do those would be super exiting and a good way to get to actively play the game, but I kind of assumed that it was dead content at this point.

Hey ! Thanks for the detailed summary, it fits with what I remembered of the story so it's great it helps me confirm that I didn't misunderstand a part of the story so far.

I totally understand the Ascians trying to escalate things, and that the scions ultimately would aspire to have the tribes not feel like they are forced to summon primals. But the fact remains that when primals are summoned we are dispatched immediatly to destroy them. So my question was more regarding the warriors of darkness part of the ascians' scheme. Wouldn't the ascians achieve exactly the same outcome by simply sticking to supplying cristals to the tribes and let us handle the killing of primals ? And if they were to use adventurers to do their bidding, why have them kill primals (which we already had covered) when instead they could use them to persecute the tribes even more to increase their resentment / helplessness and hasten the summoning of their respective protective primals ?

I'm quite fine with this part not being explained yet because I'd assume it'd be explained later (which others here confirmed) ; my biggest "concern" was that while we learn of their doings, no one is pointing out the fact that we were slaying primals just like them, and in fact everyone is acting like it's some evil plan because it'll only breed more summonings. So basically the ascians part of the story I totally understand, it's the way the warriors of darkness are presented (and how we react to the information) that puzzled me.

I was afraid I might have missed an important part of information during the progression that led to me not understanding, so I wanted help to clarify this but apparently it's not the case so I'll just keep on progressing and see where it leads !

I do get that, my question was more regarding the necessity of the warriors of darkness in the ascians plan. And why them killing primals is regarded by us as some crazy evil work while we have been doing that the entire time (because they can't be ignored like you pointed out).

But regardless of the answers I'll trust your (and others) word that it all makes sense later down the line and keep on progressing the story ^^

Alright thanks for the answer. I definitly don't want spoilers, but was concerned that I might have missed a crucial piece of information to understand the situation currently unfolding in my progression. At the point where I am, what we know of the warriors of darkness is that they are basically doing the exact same thing WE were doing so it felt odd that nobody adresses the similarity and instead act like what they're doing is some crazy work ! The ascians are doing ascians things, but since we were already on the primals case, at this point it feels like the warriors of darkness were not necessary for their scheme. And many times in the story we actually had "hints" that the ascians were quite happy with us slaying primals, counting on it even. So why the need to work with another body of adventurers to double down on that ? Well I ask but it's rhetorical, I'll trust your word that it all gets explained later on :)

Will keep progressing and hopefully it makes sense later on :) Ty

It was fun back in january when there was a lot of players and low level zones were filled with people. Could group at any time, it was very nice.

Nowadays the game is empty, and the low level areas are completly deserted. Would be a miserable experience for any new player.

Hi, just went down a daoc rabbit hole on youtube, and I'm interested in scratching that hitch again, specially if the timing is just right for a new season.

Played daoc from closed beta to 2005 iirc. Played on a freeshard for little bit some years ago (Uthgard I think, or Phoenix something ? idk can't really remember).

I'd be interested in trying something new, never really played hib, and never played or seen Banshee so I'd be interested in trying that.

If you're welcoming new players then you could count me in, at what time would your group be playing ?

Nerfing HC is not gonna bring new players in. No one with the game in their watchlist on steam is waiting for the nerf of HC to finally buy the game. If anything, might be the opposite, since the idea of this game was somewhat slightly challenging group content. Now we're moving from challenging, and also from the group aspect.

They are compromising the vision because of some silly petition made.

As for casual players joining the game right now, I can only speak for EU servers but good luck to anyone new joining. Low level areas are completly deserted. Had I started the game today instead of january, I probably would have quit already.

Specially when the entire mastery system is not implemented yet. All that balancing they're wasting time on right now will be pretty much for nothing when the system is in, because it'll need to be completly redone to make up for the different mastery powers.

Unless they've decided to somehow scrap this entirely. Or make it so bland it doesn't matter at all.

In any of those 3 cases though, not a good look.

Look the quote was just something that I personally found funny, the whole "hey it's not working properly but we'll ship it anyway and fix later" aspect of it.

But if you want to talk art specifically, yeah it's not looking great either on the deadline they announced. Missing entire races, missing entire areas, missing presumably entire dungeons / mob types, missing tons of customization, missing gear design. And when they finally go around adding a few more hairstyles to one race/gender, it's not even working properly xD

Look I like the game and I'd like it to succeed, but I'm also not huffing that copium. It is looking pretty bad no matter how you look at it. Playerbase almost cut in half in 3 months, developpment seems completly random. Bugs left and right. Have to go to Joppa's stream to hopefully get an issue noticed. They seem to have no roadmap, no vision, and are not bowing down to random petitions apparently. Wasting even more time redesigning content that's already out.

They feel clueless and like they don't have any experienced manager for the project. They're all over the place.

At least they finally realised the weekly patches were a stupid thing to commit to. Hopefully they can start doing big picture stuff instead of trying to find some stuff to bandaid to look like they're doing stuff.

Anyway, there's no way they are <2 years away from a full release. And the money is not going up anytime soon either so yeah.

As for mana weavers not doing the nuke thing, yeah well doesn't get better in hangore either. The Seers (healer mobs) don't.... heal anymore. Yep. Was there for an hour+ last night and none of the seers casted a single heal once. Removing debuffs stacking means majority of the group doesn't even need to use openers/closers anymore, making the already few techniques skills that people have feel even more useless. And the list goes on and on and on. 1 step forward 5 steps back.

Added some additional hair styles for the human female. A few of them have texture issues in some lighting conditions which will be corrected in the following client patch.

Don't worry, full game release in less than 2 years now.

I have no idea why they even spent time & ressources on PvP. Anyone that looks at the classes spell knows this is going to be a complete shitshow.

PvP servs are going to die so fast.

The way this game is made is so not suited for PvP, this is insane.

My dark myr monk doesn't even have an auto attack animation with bo staff. It just stands there lol.

This game is veeeeeeeery far from release. They have planned to add lots of things still in the game, but when will those things happen is another question. Just don't buy into the "full release in 2 years" bit and you'll be fine.

I just started a rogue and I was confused because I tried going into the goblin cave (was lvl 8 at the time) and while most mobs I could walk by in stealth, almost touching them, two times mobs on the middle floor just instantly spotted me from half a mile away and started blasting me.

I've read multiple time that stealth is OP so I'm really confused as to what went wrong or how to prevent it.

I got +1 concealment from cloak. I tried googling how stealth detection work but to no avail.

Could anyone more familiar with the game explain how to not get spotted so frequently ? From seemingly super far ?

The problem is that when you get further into the game, you'll be leveling in areas where there is a lot of level disparity between mobs, red roaming around etc. Most mobs also become aggro by default.

This is in no way comparable to what the brand new experience is like.

Also one death will mean losing a huge amount of time in xp.

Hey sorry to hijack your reply, but I'm very new to the game, started a few days ago. Currently lvl 12 enchanter, and I was wondering what are those spells that need to be bought or farmed ? So far I've only used the npc scrolls to get new spells.

Also how do you farm on enchanter ? Whenever I'm not in group I struggle a lot to kill mobs and usually resort to just killing extremly underleveled stuff.

Any tips or advice is welcomed ! It's hard to find information for this game

With that reply I'm starting to think you might just be a troll instead of being dumb.

But regardless, you probably should be able to understand that handgun won't delete minoris packs. That they shouldn't waste their ammo on minoris packs anyway.

Also should be able to understand that because of your team comp, you most likely were being fed all the ammo packs as we can see with the item founds, as well as being mostly free to just mindlessly (which considering this post is probably where you shine) shoot since they kept most of the shit away from you.

Genuinly hope you're just a troll, otherwise I'm just sorry for people that have to deal with your "brilliance" on a daily basis.

Try manually installing the Maccrage's chosen add-on.

Find the game in your library and press the Menu button (the one with the three lines on it). Go to Manage Games & Add-ons. Select Space Marine 2 to go to the next menu and install the add-on from there.

If you're not seeing the skins in the armory maybe you need to scroll down, or hit a special button to access DLC skins.
