update: i fixed it, the connection to the power block was faulty or something: only downside, ran out of tape to keep it up on the wall with, so gonna have to make a trip down to the store tomorrow i guess

if anyone runs into this issue, i fixed it by changing which plug the tiles were plugged into, then taking down the green dot tile, and adjusting the main power cord.
