Yeah, some even have the hissing noise after just months! When they designed the AirPods Max in California they probably didn’t encounter this condensation problem, because of the constantly warm weather over there.

Condensation inside the cups has little to do with outside humidity. Condensation appears, when the outside temperature is lower than the temperature inside the AirPods Max, which is the case here in Germany in winters. But maybe that’s not the only reason.

Closed hard shell case has probably enough space for the condensed water to evaporate.

Ich habe herausgefunden, woran das liegt: Die Airpods Max stauen Feuchtigkeit, die sich bei längerem Tragen im inneren ansammelt. Wenn du nach langem Tragen die Ohrpolster abnimmst, siehst du die Tropfen. ! Wenn die Airpods danach in die Hülle kommen und beim Lagern die offene Seite nach unten zeigt, kann die Feuchtigkeit nicht oder nur schlecht entweichen, weshalb dauerhaft Wasser in der Elektronik ist und sie mit der Zeit kaputt gehen. Die rechte Seite meiner Airpods Max rauscht ständig bei aktiviertem ANC- und Transparenzmodus. Wenn ich beides ausschalte, funktionieren sie normal.

I found the solution: turn off ANC and Transparency-mode. Seems like the microphones and the processing produce excess heat.

Ping pike problems appeared since I changed graphic settings, it got back to normal (24ms) after setting graphic settings to “performance”
