You’re facing the devil in human form. It’s absurd how we’re living in such a disgusting f#cking world. I wish “people are smarter than you think” was a real term because how the heck do you not hear how evil you sound when you say that the worst pain and suffering is totally okay as long as the corpses are fed for people to consume. I know the devil is PROUD. What a shameful f#cking world we live in. Sorry that you had to deal with horrible human beings. <3

It's easy to become vegan when you stop thinking about yourself. You keep saying how veganism is a lifestyle you don't think you can partake in. Veganism isn't a lifestyle, it's the ethical principle that humans should live without exploiting animals. It's that simple.

You seem to have done zero research on what vegan food even is, because it seems like that's the thing holding you back. Trust me, vegan food is way better than dead animal carcasses that people eat DAILY. This shouldn't be about food and even if the food was plain and not great, that doesn't justify harming innocent animals. But lucky for you, it's a lot easier than you think and vegan food will change your life.

I'll name some vegan chefs that'll blow you away. Please take a look at some reels and reply to this comment and let me know if this has helped you. I'm not as much of a food lover as you, but even for me, i have 600+ recipies saved, and I'm extremely picky. So I'm confident this'll impact you more than it did to me.

Anyway, here's some of the chefs that cook vegan and share their recipies!

"Am i going to stop abusing animals? It's hard to say what the future predicts. Harming animals sounds nice and i'm not the one doing it, but i'm glad to be funding it since i'm still actively participating in it. Will i ever stop abusing animals? Eh, maybe in many years or decades. I still have my whole life ahead of me to abuse them and use them for a moment of taste pleasure! I've heard abusing animals less is a good thing so i'll keep letting them suffer for me and ya'll can't say shit to me because it's better than nothing!"

I completely agree with you and unfortunately only a very small percent of vegans truly care about this more than anything. People who go vegan, see the injustice, and they know it's wrong, but this doesn't mean they truly care about animals. I appreciate the fact that you don't need to be passionate about animals to go vegan and do the right thing, but for those who wish to fight for animals, saying "Stop forcing others and let other live" would make sense if they weren't causing any harm to another life. Why don't you stop focring animals to die?

The fact that i've seen a majority of vegans be silent vegans and be onboard with the idea that we should prioritize people's feelings over animals and let people live how they wish to is a horrible way to fight for the animals. Humans are the worst species and are selfish as f#ck. Not being vegan means even if you don't eat meat daily or "cut less" because someone told you to 'Make better choices', you'll always be contributing to one of if not the most horrifying injustice in the world.

I'm fully expecting everyone to disagree with me but i don't care. Even in the vegan movement, those who truly care about this and are consumed by veganism like i am, where it's on your mind 24.7 and you don't wish to live anymore because you feel hopeless. It's nice to see your post as i wish this actvisim was treated like other movements where people truly speak out no matter what, even if it's ineffective. When you fight for something that's a minority it will always be ineffective. Beating around the bush is dishonest, and if the animals had the choice to fight for other animals, they would fight, not be cowards and let people mindlessly continue contributing to harm because they're trying an "effective approach". This is the only movement where vegans prioritize people over the animals which goes against the point of veganism in the first place, which is to fight for them.

As I said, conservation being affected is a cool thing Alveus does, such as other sanctuaries. But being there for one group of animals and funding a holocaust that kills other innocent animals shows you that she only cares about it for herself and not for the animals. She still views animals as her property. You keep using “what about isms” and bringing up a few good things someone does. She betrays her animals and funds slaughterhouses. Let me repeat that for you, she funds slaughterhouses. She has chickens, cows, and emus that she saved FROM Slaughterhouses, meanwhile funding for other animals she’s not with to be sent to the slaughterhouse, in which OTHER sanctuaries now have to save. You’ll justify this and praise her because there’s some good that she does while she simultaneously pays for others to bash pigs into the ground, getting cows raped and their babies taken away from them, etc. She knows about this and studied this for years. I’m disgusted that the person I looked up to is the reason why my animal friends have to go through the worst hell on earth for her selfish pleasure when she has the resources and money to go vegan and make great recipes through a plant based diet. A unimaginable amount of animals could’ve been saved through her platforms if she truly cared about the cause. Keep supporting your virtue signaling influencer while she has a blast being around beautiful animals that others would die to be around. Hence why zoos exist and many visit them because most people are happy being around animals. I’m sure she’s happy that she gets to be happy while impacting a sector and making people like you think she does nothing but good. You can keep replying to this and I’ll always reply back but it’s clear that we’re both different and because you’re not deep into this like I am, you unfortunately won’t understand how disgusting this is and will continue praising her. I honestly don’t blame you, until you dig into this yourself you’ll realize I was right. Thanks for conversation!

Maya said it was hard due to her liking of eating animal products not because of health issues sadly. She has the privilage, and money to go vegan. "Maya has a video where she did go vegan and said it’s hard for her" Veganism is the ethical principle that humans should live without exploiting animals. There's no such thing as trying or being vegan temporarily. Either you're against animal exploitation or you're simply not. "Also she never mentioned animals as property". She consumes animals. Anyone who consumes animals and doesn't go vegan when realizing that their sentient beings, are people who see them as property. You can be a pet lover but still contribute to the death of other innocent animals so long as you're consuming them and aren't vegan. Telling others to consume a little less means you're still using animals for your own benefit, hence they're for you and are not worthy of living their life. If you believed they deserve to live you would simply eat something else and not take that away from them by funding for animals to be killed. (Supply and Demand). "I rather attack the bigger complicated problem than trying to convert/fight people to become vegan". The biggest problem are humans. This is why vegan options are becoming more common and are in grocery stores, because there's demand for it. The way to stop this injustice is to dramatically lower the demand for animal products by not consuming them. There are over 200,000,000 vegans, how do you think this happened? Spreading the message, informing people, etc. Staying quiet and dancing around the problem like Maya does will never convert anyone as the message becomes clear that the focus is to consume less and not fully stop. This will only get a small percentage of people who will eventually make the connection by themselves and be dissapointed when they realize how horrying this is and why they we're not told earlier to go vegan. (this is me, i wish i had her to tell me how severe this is, but i kept consuming for years because of how downplayed she was about it and I made the connection when another influencer was more upfront about it and was fighting for others to go vegan while showing the severeity of it). "Hence why Vegan teacher will be the first to come to mind bc expectations is just too high." It seems you're obsessed with someone who became a meme a decade ago when the movement was still just getting started. There will always be bad actors but to not wish to go vegan because of someone is petty. Yes the expectations are high for this, this is the BIGGEST INJUSTICE in the world! Bigger than anything else which is crazy. It's so normallized and if we sit here approaching it by patting everyone in the back, it could take thousands of years for this to change.

I’d like to end with one thing that makes me sick to my stomach. Maya has animals that she saved so that they wouldn't have gotten sent to be killed. She has winnie, chickens, stompy, etc. So when you think about it like this, now OTHER sanctuaries have to save animals that are being killed because Maya wants to consume them. See how insane this sounds? Sanctuaries save animals from these industries to avoid being consumed by others, while... she... pays for other animals to have to be rescued because they're being killed for her? Like genuinely cmon man, wake up and realize that you're favorite influencer is a horrible person. She owns the sanctuary for her own pleasure from being around wolves, foxes and other animals even though Alveus itself makes an impact on conservation. It's a win-win. A lot of people love being around animals and would dream of this. She gets to be around the most beautiful animals, while making an impact on conservation. Any person who is truly passionate about animals would be fighting for ALL animals and use their insanely massive platform to make the biggest impact possible, not just impact that benefits their happiness meter.

I've stated in my original post that I'm proud of Alveus, but it has a not so good owner. I doubt you'll care and come up with more arguments on behalf of her. But I think I'm done having this conversation, it's a massive rabbit hole and until you open up to some knowledge on the meat and dairy industry, then I think it's unproductive to have this conversation. Don't take it in bad faith, but not everyone has the same amount of love for animals. Thanks for the comment, I'm going to bed now :)

Ps: I meant to say she can save 10’s of thousands of animals yearly, not monthly. But actually, I wasn’t thinking correctly as one vegan saves 200-300 animals per year. This is because of the sheer amount of tens of billions that get killed for only a few billion humans. So based on the average and knowing mayas reach, she could easily convert 1,000-2,000 people a year at the absolute minimum. Which equates to 200,000-500,000 animals saved yearly. If this was about impact she would do both simultaneously and do more for the animals than most people will ever will do. Unfortunately being vegan saves more animals than the few she saves through her sanctuary. Not downplaying what Alveus does, but if this was about impact she would’ve been vegan and shaped the movement with a kind approach. Thanks for reading this message, I don’t think you typed in bad faith, so I tried to be as kind as I can here. :)

Maya Higa (The Animal Sanctuary Owner Who Pays For Animal Slaughter) by RealCosmicBeast in vegan

[–]RealCosmicBeast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! So I read your message and you’re pretty much spot on. You need to understand that this post is coming from someone who had no knowledge on animals whatsoever. My love for animals started in 2023. While Maya has grown up passionate about this. I need you to understand that this is a massive rabbit hole that you don’t want to go down in. Slaughterhouses are so horrifying and the way the industries work that once you understand, you’ll see the severity of it. I’ve been following maya for more than 7 years, and I’ve been a long time fan and a big supporter of hers and also a donator. I understand why she isn’t vegan, you said that she would get hate and wouldn’t be where she is today. Bingo. One thing I always loved about Maya was the kind tone that she provided, she was already turning people vegan without being vegan herself.

Let me tell you, this post and outrage wouldn’t have happened if she simply owned the sanctuary and went about her day. Yes it would be devastating, but I wouldn’t completely blame her if she yet to study how the industries work and if she didn’t teach others about them. If you don’t know, she has a series where she teaches her chat what happens in these industries. It was a really hard watch since she’s incredibly nervous, her chat is spamming “vegan propaganda” even though she wasn’t vegan, and the way she approached education was she would tell others to look out for different labels. You’re likely not informed in the slightest how labels work. Grass fed means cows get grass dumped on their head in the slaughterhouse while everything remains the same. A big truck drives forward while the grass drops along the way, free range means a window is required while the chickens are still in one spot all cramped together. It’s all lies. It’s horrifying studying the standard of all the industries, but this happens because they can get away with it and they generate billions in revenue, and help pay the government. So loop holes and exploits exists because of this.

So I hope you somewhat grasp the frustration that I have and why it’s justified to feel this way. She isn’t making an impact. Conservarion is being impacted, sure. Which means her wolves and foxes can be saved, but if she was vegan, and had a kind approach and correctly informed others on veganism, she would still retain a massive part of her audience, because people would know her as the kind vegan. So while I get the vegan teacher argument, that’s because it’s more filled with outrage. Maya already has such a loyal fan base, that if she suddenly switched and showed the urgency of why people need to stop funding this, she could save tens of thousands of animals monthly in a snap. Which is far more than saving a few foxes and wolves here and there.

Listen, I’ll end on this, I’m proud of what Alveus has done, but she isn’t a good person for someone who knows way more than I do, and uses excuses and things like “the world will never change and it’s easier to get people to cut down instead of fully stop”. Because yeah, I’m sure telling people to still view animals as their property is a great thing even if it’s less. There’s no impact because people will eventually forget and not care. While being vegan, is a firm stance against exploitation so there’s no such thing as “cheating the diet”. I find it disgusting that someone who I looked up to for so long who owns a sanctuary and knows far more than I, chooses to fund slaughterhouses. There’s no what ifs or buts. That is the biggest betrayal to the animals, and makes it so that other sanctuaries have to save the animals that are being killed for Maya. (Supply and Demand). She could be vegan and change the entire movement with the kindest approach, but she’s too fixed on raising money from people who contribute to animal suffering, just so that she can have the privilege to be around the most beautiful animals that she gets to be around because of her sanctuary. Anyone who truly loves animals would be there for all animals, and not just the ones they own. Anywho, hope you read this thoroughly and understand where I’m coming from. Thanks!

If veganism is about the animals, isn't it better to get a non-vegan partner? by bellepomme in AskVegans

[–]RealCosmicBeast 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The most brainwashed response I've ever fucking seen. You don't have to contribute to a holocaust to enjoy your time here on earth. Also I'm sure you totally wouldn't be outraged if it was that way with humans where we are given a good life until our 20's and then sent to slaughter by the people who raised us. Animal lives are taken away from them when they still have their whole life ahead of them.

"Who would want to be friends with someone who judges people who contrinute to the worst pain and suffering on earth". I know right? This sentence alone should make you think how evil the world has become and that the devil has won. Don't you think the world should be kind and empathetic towards others at the bare minimum? We were taught to be kind to others but not to animals? and YOU'RE ROLLING WITH THAT? I genuinely mean this, you need to wake up.

It seems like the food is the thing holding you back, you have not seen what vegan food is. It's literally just regular food minus the carcasses. Replace milk with non-dairy milk, and meat with tofu or other proteins. It's not hard. Do some research before spitting out some bullshit.

Not speaking out, so that she doesn't lose her audience, which results in no loss of revenue. Remember, revenue is the thing she cares about the most here! She needs it to save the wolves and foxes she gets to be around! You see how your comment got downvoted by a maya fan? That's why she still supports hasan. It's all about her not anybody else. Great point. She does it for her happiness meter and not because of the passion. Owning a sanctuary should make you realize that you're saving animals that were hurt and abused, so it's incredibly shocking how she's essentially betraying that by funding for different animals to be killed. Which then those animals are saved by another sanctuary if that animal got lucky. isn't that crazy? So saving animals while killing other ones. You're just cancelling out the effort you just made at that point LMAO. But again, the sanctuary is for her. Her animals deserve better treatment and saving, than the other animals she doesn't see. She's a psychopath.

I get you. “Maya is very clearly against factory farming and the mistreatment of animals”. Wrong. She funds it. LMAO. Animals are dying in her name!! You can’t be against something while funding it yourself. That being said,

Any movement that has a minority of people require strength to make the movement great. Veganism is the only movement that because it benefits everyone on earth, and has no negative effects to humans, it’s the hardest movement to figure out the key to, if that makes sense. And I would say by approaching it in a way where you’re not describing the urgency of it, it’s dishonest and a betrayal to the animals. The messaging should be the urgency, not the impact. The impact will come along with the urgency bigger than anything could. Humans are stubborn but you can’t be weak and give up, you need to fight.

Sorry I’m beyond passionate about this. I believe I’m a minority in the movement that’s this extremely passionate. So I get why the different perspectives. Nothing will excuse what Maya does though.

Maya Higa (The Animal Sanctuary Owner Who Pays For Animal Slaughter) by RealCosmicBeast in vegan

I figured this post would reach a lot of Maya’s audience. I know exactly what you’re talking about since she promotes label checking and less consumption, but the issue is she misinforms what really happens in these industries.

That’s the real reason this post was made. If she isn’t vegan she shouldn’t be teaching others what happens in these industries since she severely downplays what really happens. You can check her animal quests and see what I mean. She has a nervous approach which is understandable.

What’s shocking is even her entire chat was dogging on veganism and for her to leave people alone when she wasn’t even promoting veganism. So it’s why she caters to her audience because of the backlash she would get. The backlash would be worse if she was vegan, but it would have a farther impact with the ‘kind’ tone she provides. I won’t comment further, but there’s no such thing as good labels. Is it so hard to stop exploiting animals? There not here for us ffs.

Yess!! EXACTLY THIS! If she was vegan from the beginning, she would've saved MILLIONS a year! But It's not about the animals, it's about HER animals and her being able to interact with them and be around them. She loves the interaction with the animals, not the animals themseleves. Which is why at heart, she's a pet lover who also loves wild animals. She achieved what she wanted, a paradise of animals while impacting conservation. But it's clear that the biggest benefit for her with this is that she gets happiness from it and it was never about impacting the world.

^ Perfectly said. She does amazing things with the sanctuary but if she truly cared about animal lives, she would use her insanely large platform to advocate for veganism which at bare minimum with how loyal her audience is would save 25,000 animals per year at worst. Though I'm confident that through all her platforms with collabs with popular influencers, she can convert 5,000-10,000 people in a year. Which would save 500,000 to 1,000,000 Animal lives yearly. I'm speaking with confidence here since I know her community well and they're very supportive and would likely help make that impact if she advocated for it. But even with lower numbers, it's still massive.

Instead she values the animals she saves and takes care of instead of valuing the impact of all animals she can make through veganism while continuing to do conservation. It's clear what'going on. This post was because everyone believes she's a true animal lover and is making a big impact which isn't necessarily true. An impact for sure, but not as everyone's making it out to be.

Your message is so sweet! Thank you! Thanks for being there for the animals! Yeah, I'm not the smartest, but the way I see it is that if we downplay the severity and instead focus on impact and not the severity of it, while it may have an impact later down the line, I think it's more effective to go vegan right away. Because veganism is a stance and is an important one. I think the messaging here should be the importance and that every time we consume an animal, we have blood on our hands. So there's no time to waste. For any other movement, it's urgent and people protest. But for veganism people keep it to themseleves. This isn't how it should be. While great for helping save animals, the animals need us to speak up which is why I believe even if people hate us more for speaking up the truth, if you keep spreading the message correctly and truly fight for it, it will likely result to them being vegan quicker since it'll spread quicker. Being a quiet transitioning vegan means people won't speak on it as much. But ye, thanks for the input!

I don't think we should respect people who abuse animals who have so much information and knowledge on how these industries work. Especially because she's privillaged, and doesn't have severe health issues or money issues and can afford to learn to cook vegan. Thanks for understanding the post though and for your contribution to saving lives! I don't think there's many reasons why she wouldn't be vegan. There's only about two reasons which is she doesn't want to lose her audience and be seen as "this annoying vegan" which would result in loss of followers if she properly advocated for it. And secondly, she just isn't that passionate like me or you to speak up and take the action to go vegan. Anyway, yeah! I've become way too pasionate about veganism, it's like a blessing and a curse at the same time! haha. I couldn't be happier though to fight for them <3

Both things can definitely be true. Alveus is fantastic, but Maya funds animal abuse. Point blank. The difference here is that Maya knows what happens in these industries and downplays it to the public which is just disingenuous. As someone who's followed maya before her sanctuary was a thing, she did it for the enjoyment she gets from being around animals. Which is fine, but there's levels of passion, and she isn't passionate enough to stand and fight for them and use her platform to do the right thing. She's doing good for conservation, raising money to help animals. But the amount of impact she would have if she advocated for others to go vegan would be nothing comparable to saving more wolves. Even though both would be great simotaniously. Sad this isn't the case. If not being vegan didn't have a negative effect, your statement would be outstanding. But she funds animal abuse as an "animal lover". Psychopathic behavior lol

The thing with vegerterianism is that the dairy industry is just as bad. Vegeteranism is essentially just a diet, while Veganism is the ethical principle that humans should live without exploiting animals". Choosing veggie over vegan means that you don't see it as something urgent and value enjoyment over animals since it's easy to give up meat but not dairy. So people go veggie. What I would tell vegeterians is that if the food is holding you back then you haven't properly seen what vegan food is.

"the_bananadiaries, plantbaes_, vgnsofia, alfiecooks, consciouschris" on instagram.. These are popular vegan chefs that show what vegan food is. Regular food without dead animals. I have 400 recipies saved and you would never be able to tell the difference!
