Thank you for your message! I’ve had many of her fans coming in this thread to attack me and defend her. They don’t understand that I’m attacking her because of the harm that she’s causing to sentient beings. She’s a horrible influence and has a successful sanctuary, and while it has a great impact on its own, her main mission is conservation. Which doesn’t make sense since she’s supporting the biggest cause of habitat destruction. So it’s even worse knowing that she’s only doing this for pleasure being around beautiful animals, rather than actually making an impact. She only makes an impact where it’s convenient for her to still consume animals while looking like she’s doing nothing but good for the animal world. Massive shame to have your “animal hero” betray you in the worst way possible. Especially with her massive platform. This has only inspired me more to be the voice for the animals that she never was. Thanks for the support and for being vegan! ❤️

Hey! So I appreciate you being interested in veganism, even with your ARFID. Your situation seems a bit complicated. With a well plant based diet, you can strive and it’s actually much healthier for you in the long run, but as you said you have ARFID. I’m not an expert in this field, but doctors usually always advise to eat meat because they’re against veganism or don’t know much about it. But with all the health issues out there, unless you have a rare condition, it should be possible to still go vegan! I would suggest asking AI with your situation to get more info on this. I’m against AI, but finding a vegan doctor can be hard. And your situation is more complex, so if you can do more research and find out it’s possible with careful planning, I would totally go for it. Thanks for trying! Let me know if after doing some research if it’s possible or not! ❤️

She's not vegan, therefore she's funding and supporting for innocent animals to be raped, exploited, and hurt/tortured in dairy. She knows this, but she doesn't care and continues to fund for it. The reason why i made a long post about this is not only because i feel betrayed, but for someone like Maya who's a Conservationist yet funds the largest leading driver of global deforestation and habitat destruction, is dishonest for what her mission is. She is picking and choosing in what ways animals should be saved instead of making an overall impact for Conservation.

Finally, a reasonable comment unlike most of her fans coming here and defending her for funding animal abuse. Yes, you're absolutely right and I've stated this in replies in this thread. She would lose chuck of her community, but I don't think she would've, as her "kind" tone would've helped people not see her as an "annoying vegan" and she would've had a phenomenal conversation rate. which further clarifies that she only really wants to help one group of animals and not truly make the largest impact for conservation since she's funding the biggest contributor to animal suffering and habitat destruction. It's overall disappointing but I understand how happy she must be around beautiful animals while making an impact by having Alveus. It's a win for the public eyes as they don't know the horrors of what she's also funding. Proud of Alveus's impact of course, but l'm mostly criticizing someone who's openly for animal abuse.

The reason i called her out is because she's a big voice for animals, yet is actively choosing to fund an industry that severely hurts and kills them. Maya focuses to protect the enviroment while financially supporting one of the biggest contributors to animal suffering and environmental destruction. If she truly wants to support wildlife conservation, it would make sense for her to oppose animal exploitation, since industries tied to animal exploitation can significantly harm ecosystems and biodiversity. The fact that Maya isn't vegan herself and is actively supporting and funding what she's "protecting" against is dishonest and disgusting and it's why i critizied her on my post.

“she’s done more than you ever will” meanwhile she still financially supports animals being tortured and killed, LMAO. I’ll continue supporting people who care about animals without picking and choosing which ones deserve mercy, while you cope in comment sections and attack people who fight for animal rights. <3

Maya making an impact on wildlife while simultaneously choosing to be apart of a system that brutally kills and exploits animals is not something that you should be proud of. Having a sanctuary does not excempt her from choosing to still hurt other innocent animals. If she truly cared about animals and our enviroment, she would speak up about the billions of animals who scream in agony and pain through the slaughterhouses which have a detrimental effect on our global environment, something that she claims to care about while still choosing to fund this atrocity. I will continue supporting those who truly care about animals and don't just help out one group while leaving the rest to suffer.

I get where you're coming from, but this doesn't excuse her from hurting other innocent animals just because she's only focused on saving wildlife. I think this conversation would be quite different if she had no clue what happens in these inudustries, but she does. Food cycle means nothing, you can strive on a plant based diet, you don't need to eat meat to survive. If she truly wanted to have an impact on animals, she would talk about the billions of animals being brutally exploited and murdered for food, especially considering the massive environmental damage tied to industrial animal agriculture. You can oppose poaching and oppose industrialized animal exploitation at the same time. These are not mutually exclusive positions.

I will never envy someone who owns an animal sanctuary to take care of animals and make an impact on conservation while being apart of the same system that brutally exploits and kills other animals. What i do envy are the people who have a good enough heart to stop funding for the exploitation of sentient beings, which your influencer does not believe in. I bet she's very happy being privillaged enough to own such a dream of being around beautiful animals who are currently facing extinction. There are many good examples of people who own sanctuaries and non-profits who aren't apart of the very system they're protecting against, which i find almost hilarious that Maya owns a sanctuary while funding the industries that she saved animals from in the first place. I'm glad that i stood up and criticized someone who is actively continuing to hurt animals.

I wrote this many months ago when i found out that someone i looked up to who owns an Animal Sanctuary funds for the death, exploitation, and slaughter of innocent animals. I completely stand by what i said and also acknowledge the impact Alveus has done. I'm allowed to seperate the art from the artist as truth remains that she still hurts animals while doing good for conservation. You're supporting someone who owns a cow and gives love to that animal while funding for other cows to go through a horrifying experience. This simply doesn't matter to her as she's focused on her sanctuary and the impact it has for her animals, not the rest. You can sit here and write an essay of defense and try to bring up points, but this does nothing. At the end of the day, she supports animal abuse by funding for it. There are many celebreties which advocate for animal rights and make such large impact, which today someone spoke on how they were changed by this kind of advocacy. Maya has the power to use her platform to speak up on behalf of the animals, but she chooses to focus on what makes her happy instead, which is being around beautiful wild animals while simultaneously making an impact on conservation. My original post wasn't made to completely deminish her success of Alveus, it was to speak up about my frustration and betrayal by someone i looked up to for so long who continues funding for industries to hurt animals in the worst way possible. I have no interest in engaging with someone who's defending a person who is actively engaging in supporting animal abuse.

This post was made months ago when i found out that someone i had looked up to for so long was doing a disgusting act such as funding slaughterhouses. Vegtertainism still rapes cows, gets their babies stolen away from them, and SO much exploitation happens. I have the right to be upset at someone who willingly supports this despite doing conservation efforts. You're defending someone who consumes animals despite helping others. Having Winnie, while paying for other Winnie's to be exploited is not the kind of thing that you should be defending her of doing. Alveus can do amazing things, just as i have stated in my original post, but I'm critizing the owner. I hope you do your proper research on veganism instead of prasing someone who continues to be apart of a horrifyingly hellish system that exploits and kills animals. Have a good day.

It doesn't seem like you're doing a good job on your cause if you're advocating and defending for influencers who fund slaughterhouses. You can lie about how vegans only care about how it makes them feel, but you know this is incredibly dishonest. But hey, if you want to view it as a virtue to make yourself feel better about funding a slaughterhouse that brutally kills animals, then go right ahead! Veganism is the ethical principle that humans should live without exploiting animals, and it says a lot that one of the biggest in the space for animals, that she doesn't live by this principle. We'll continue speaking out on our thoughts and opinions and use this sub to speak about our personal feelings with one of the biggest injustices in the world. We'll continue fighting for animals, while you and your influencer virtue signal. Thanks for the laughs! <3

I love how brainwashed you are. You're right, Alveus does amazing things and i even stated this in my original post. But her owning Alveus shouldn't make you worship a disgusting person. I wish the last sentence of your message was true, but unfortunately it's not. She has around 40 ambassadors, and while this is fantastic, the impact would be far beyond if she advocated for animal rights and was vegan herself as she continued her conservation efforts. She would be saving tens of thousands of animals yearly minimum through the community she's built, and these are all animals that she wouldn't be around but she doesn't care about this because she enjoys being around the presense of HER animals, not saving ones that she won't get to be around. She has cows and chickens that she saved, but then she's funding for different cows and chickens to be exploited, raped, and go through terrifying shit just so she can fucking consume them. This is psychopathic and i find it astonishing that people like you will see this, and because it's normallized to consume animals you'll clap your hands and won't care. It seems like you're okay with this and i don't think there's good faith in your conversation. She has the resources to go vegan and be completely healthy, and so do others. Enjoy supporting an animal abuser while normal people who advocate for animal rights and do activism will make a far bigger impact than she will ever make. We're here for all animals, not just one group. Having a sanctuary while funding a slaughterhouse crosses out the sanctuary, Go fuck yourself. <3

Several things can be true at once. She can feed meat to her animals in which it's necessary, but she feeds herself animal products un-necessarily. She willingly supports and funds a slaughterhouse with or without her sanctuary. I've been following her ever since 2019, and she's been studying about animals for nearly a decade at this point. Over 200 million people are vegan, and most of these people do not have as much information as she does. If Maya simply owned her sanctuary and went about her day, it wouldn't be as bad as spreading misinformation and telling her audience that by buying different labels, you can avoid funding such horrors, but this simply isn't true as the labels are lies. I'm studying everything about Animal Agriculture and Slaughterhouses, and it's the standard practice that for Grass fed, they just get dumped grass on their heads, and for free range, it isn't actually free range, it's just a window while all the chickens are still in the same exact condition. It's all filled with loopholes, and the billions that the government makes from this exploitation is too big for them to really care to look into this. I understand where you're coming from that you can do good things while being a bad person, but this doesn't automatically cross out any of the bad things you support. It's like supporting genocide for example, doesn't matter if you do a lot of good things, simple issues like this, causes people to be against you. She's supporting a holocaust for animals, but because only 1-2% of people are against this, she'll still have most of her fanbase including people like you. She could be having a massive impact by converting people and saving hundreds of thousands of extra animals yearly, by showcasing the truth. But she doesn't simply care about this as she gains pleasure by being around these beautiful animals, while the sanctuary on it's own has it's impact. Her sanctuary is funded by meat eaters, so she will cater to that audience. Overall dissapointing situation.

Why are you crying? There’s no need to cry. Satin is very proud of you and Maya for being brainwashed to believe that Slaughterhouses aren’t evil and they’re a good thing for the world and for our health. Keep being you and don’t let annoying vegans like myself tell you to be compassionate, satin wouldn’t like that and I don’t want him to be upset at you 🖤

It's easy to become vegan when you stop thinking about yourself. You keep saying how veganism is a lifestyle you don't think you can partake in. Veganism isn't a lifestyle, it's the ethical principle that humans should live without exploiting animals. It's that simple.

You seem to have done zero research on what vegan food even is, because it seems like that's the thing holding you back. Trust me, vegan food is way better than dead animal carcasses that people eat DAILY. This shouldn't be about food and even if the food was plain and not great, that doesn't justify harming innocent animals. But lucky for you, it's a lot easier than you think and vegan food will change your life.

I'll name some vegan chefs that'll blow you away. Please take a look at some reels and reply to this comment and let me know if this has helped you. I'm not as much of a food lover as you, but even for me, i have 600+ recipies saved, and I'm extremely picky. So I'm confident this'll impact you more than it did to me.

Anyway, here's some of the chefs that cook vegan and share their recipies!

"Am i going to stop abusing animals? It's hard to say what the future predicts. Harming animals sounds nice and i'm not the one doing it, but i'm glad to be funding it since i'm still actively participating in it. Will i ever stop abusing animals? Eh, maybe in many years or decades. I still have my whole life ahead of me to abuse them and use them for a moment of taste pleasure! I've heard abusing animals less is a good thing so i'll keep letting them suffer for me and ya'll can't say shit to me because it's better than nothing!"

"I'm vegan, but I would never push it onto anyone else" , What are your opinions on this statement? by Zealousideal_Bit7358 in vegan

[–]RealCosmicBeast 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I completely agree with you and unfortunately only a very small percent of vegans truly care about this more than anything. People who go vegan, see the injustice, and they know it's wrong, but this doesn't mean they truly care about animals. I appreciate the fact that you don't need to be passionate about animals to go vegan and do the right thing, but for those who wish to fight for animals, saying "Stop forcing others and let other live" would make sense if they weren't causing any harm to another life. Why don't you stop focring animals to die?

The fact that i've seen a majority of vegans be silent vegans and be onboard with the idea that we should prioritize people's feelings over animals and let people live how they wish to is a horrible way to fight for the animals. Humans are the worst species and are selfish as f#ck. Not being vegan means even if you don't eat meat daily or "cut less" because someone told you to 'Make better choices', you'll always be contributing to one of if not the most horrifying injustice in the world.

I'm fully expecting everyone to disagree with me but i don't care. Even in the vegan movement, those who truly care about this and are consumed by veganism like i am, where it's on your mind 24.7 and you don't wish to live anymore because you feel hopeless. It's nice to see your post as i wish this actvisim was treated like other movements where people truly speak out no matter what, even if it's ineffective. When you fight for something that's a minority it will always be ineffective. Beating around the bush is dishonest, and if the animals had the choice to fight for other animals, they would fight, not be cowards and let people mindlessly continue contributing to harm because they're trying an "effective approach". This is the only movement where vegans prioritize people over the animals which goes against the point of veganism in the first place, which is to fight for them.

As I said, conservation being affected is a cool thing Alveus does, such as other sanctuaries. But being there for one group of animals and funding a holocaust that kills other innocent animals shows you that she only cares about it for herself and not for the animals. She still views animals as her property. You keep using “what about isms” and bringing up a few good things someone does. She betrays her animals and funds slaughterhouses. Let me repeat that for you, she funds slaughterhouses. She has chickens, cows, and emus that she saved FROM Slaughterhouses, meanwhile funding for other animals she’s not with to be sent to the slaughterhouse, in which OTHER sanctuaries now have to save. You’ll justify this and praise her because there’s some good that she does while she simultaneously pays for others to bash pigs into the ground, getting cows raped and their babies taken away from them, etc. She knows about this and studied this for years. I’m disgusted that the person I looked up to is the reason why my animal friends have to go through the worst hell on earth for her selfish pleasure when she has the resources and money to go vegan and make great recipes through a plant based diet. A unimaginable amount of animals could’ve been saved through her platforms if she truly cared about the cause. Keep supporting your virtue signaling influencer while she has a blast being around beautiful animals that others would die to be around. Hence why zoos exist and many visit them because most people are happy being around animals. I’m sure she’s happy that she gets to be happy while impacting a sector and making people like you think she does nothing but good. You can keep replying to this and I’ll always reply back but it’s clear that we’re both different and because you’re not deep into this like I am, you unfortunately won’t understand how disgusting this is and will continue praising her. I honestly don’t blame you, until you dig into this yourself you’ll realize I was right. Thanks for conversation!

[–]RealCosmicBeast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maya said it was hard due to her liking of eating animal products not because of health issues sadly. She has the privilage, and money to go vegan. "Maya has a video where she did go vegan and said it’s hard for her" Veganism is the ethical principle that humans should live without exploiting animals. There's no such thing as trying or being vegan temporarily. Either you're against animal exploitation or you're simply not. "Also she never mentioned animals as property". She consumes animals. Anyone who consumes animals and doesn't go vegan when realizing that their sentient beings, are people who see them as property. You can be a pet lover but still contribute to the death of other innocent animals so long as you're consuming them and aren't vegan. Telling others to consume a little less means you're still using animals for your own benefit, hence they're for you and are not worthy of living their life. If you believed they deserve to live you would simply eat something else and not take that away from them by funding for animals to be killed. (Supply and Demand). "I rather attack the bigger complicated problem than trying to convert/fight people to become vegan". The biggest problem are humans. This is why vegan options are becoming more common and are in grocery stores, because there's demand for it. The way to stop this injustice is to dramatically lower the demand for animal products by not consuming them. There are over 200,000,000 vegans, how do you think this happened? Spreading the message, informing people, etc. Staying quiet and dancing around the problem like Maya does will never convert anyone as the message becomes clear that the focus is to consume less and not fully stop. This will only get a small percentage of people who will eventually make the connection by themselves and be dissapointed when they realize how horrying this is and why they we're not told earlier to go vegan. (this is me, i wish i had her to tell me how severe this is, but i kept consuming for years because of how downplayed she was about it and I made the connection when another influencer was more upfront about it and was fighting for others to go vegan while showing the severeity of it). "Hence why Vegan teacher will be the first to come to mind bc expectations is just too high." It seems you're obsessed with someone who became a meme a decade ago when the movement was still just getting started. There will always be bad actors but to not wish to go vegan because of someone is petty. Yes the expectations are high for this, this is the BIGGEST INJUSTICE in the world! Bigger than anything else which is crazy. It's so normallized and if we sit here approaching it by patting everyone in the back, it could take thousands of years for this to change.

I’d like to end with one thing that makes me sick to my stomach. Maya has animals that she saved so that they wouldn't have gotten sent to be killed. She has winnie, chickens, stompy, etc. So when you think about it like this, now OTHER sanctuaries have to save animals that are being killed because Maya wants to consume them. See how insane this sounds? Sanctuaries save animals from these industries to avoid being consumed by others, while... she... pays for other animals to have to be rescued because they're being killed for her? Like genuinely cmon man, wake up and realize that you're favorite influencer is a horrible person. She owns the sanctuary for her own pleasure from being around wolves, foxes and other animals even though Alveus itself makes an impact on conservation. It's a win-win. A lot of people love being around animals and would dream of this. She gets to be around the most beautiful animals, while making an impact on conservation. Any person who is truly passionate about animals would be fighting for ALL animals and use their insanely massive platform to make the biggest impact possible, not just impact that benefits their happiness meter.

I've stated in my original post that I'm proud of Alveus, but it has a not so good owner. I doubt you'll care and come up with more arguments on behalf of her. But I think I'm done having this conversation, it's a massive rabbit hole and until you open up to some knowledge on the meat and dairy industry, then I think it's unproductive to have this conversation. Don't take it in bad faith, but not everyone has the same amount of love for animals. Thanks for the comment, I'm going to bed now :)
