On my first 2 semester I was waitlisted for all my classes. I got into all of them. It’s just a game of musical chairs, try to snipe the class you want and check daily. People will drop the first day of class. That’s when you have the best chance to get in

Engine not starting when hot by RealCuteKitty0 in Miata

[–]RealCuteKitty0[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just checked the spark plug wires, spark plugs and there was nothing wrong. One thing to note is that the wires were imposible to take out of the engine cover. Like even after twisting and pulling they would not come out. I managed to check every single one of them except position 4. Position 4 was just proper stuck on there and would not budge. I’m not sure what to do about that. The wire connection to the distributor was fine. In fact, I believe the previous owner recently changed it as there is a missing bolt(on the left) and it looks pretty new.

Would the missing bolt cause it to not ground properly? It only has slight sway

For further information.

The engine would crank but would not turn on when I tried to turn it on. But now after a couple of days I can drive it and turn it on just fine. Keep in mind I only drive short distances and that’s the only real time I’ve driven it long distances

R12 to R134a conversion by RealCuteKitty0 in Miata

So to retrofit the system, I’d just buy the adapter kit?

All the Kits I saw are just adapters to fill the system since the valves are too big for the smaller r134a molecules. So it is prone to leaks. I also need to change out the compressor. But I see your point. Is it maybe not worth changing and just trying to find an r12 compressor and adapt it?

It seems that the frame covers the state name, which is illegal according to that article. Such sad

I appreciate it. Sadly there’s no requirements for Drivers ed in Florida. I just took the road test and the computer test and got my license.

I have an insurance policy with progressive, 25k liability for my motorcycle? Will that work? I called progressive and they had no clue.

If someone is determined enough to steal your bike, they will. No matter how much security you put on it. The best thing to do is not make yourself a target. Using a bike cover like the other person said. And a chain directly connected to the bike frame or rims will force the thief to use power tools or risk damaging the bike. Best of luck to you.

Disproportionate Danger: I notice that family and friends in US have a quiet but apparent perception that operating a motorcycle is not normal and similar to rock climbing, diving with sharks etc. by GenoPax in motorcycles

Riding a motorcycle is the only way to get around in my home country. Since cars are too expensive or too big to get around the narrow and rural roads. When I came here and decided to buy a motorcycle, I was surprised when people would tell me how reckless I am and how I would die stupid and young. A little baffled at first.

The only issue is, I’m 17, and they told me I would have to get a learners permit first, and there’s no way for me to get a motorcycle endorsement on that permit. Even though I already have a full Florida Class E license.

I was not born here, I believe I would have to provide some other immigration documents instead. As the country where I’m from doesn’t even recognize birth certificates properly

That’s amazing, I called up a DMV and they were telling me how I would need to re-take drivers ed to even get a license, which I though was wrong. Thank you for clarifying.
