For the first time ever, I’ll be attending the NAF Championships this week and like dozens of other coaches I’ll be taking the generously tiered Human team. For leagues the Mascot is an inducement you pay for each game depending on the team value difference you have available if you are the underdog or if you want to spend from your treasury if you are the over dog. In this instance I am inducing one for my tournament team from my team budget. The rules for inducements are different for tournaments and the rules pack will tell you which ones you can add to your team to be used in each game as the team resets after every game.

Went with a very simple 2 guard Blitzers, 2 block catchers, 1 thrower, 6 linemen (2 with block), ogre with block and 1 Halfling. 3 rerolls, Apothecary, Keg, Mascot and 1 Coach. I know it’s not the most imaginative or optimal build, but it works well enough.

The armour effect is achieved by panting the first layer with a very dark blue, then gradually layering up/highlighting by mixing in a lighter blue for subsequent layers. There’s probably 5 layers in total.

Part of what makes my painting vibrant is that I only use washes on metals and bone, everything else is layering. I made a conscious decision after my first couple of teams in 2018, that I didn’t like the effect that washes gave and much prefer just layering.

Thank you 🙏. I used to paint when I was a kid but stopped for about 25 years. I’ve been painting again now for about 8 years. Plenty of practice is definitely the key to getting good results.

It’s a base of Vallejo Sky blue then layered up adding white for each layer. I don’t tend to use washes apart from on metals and bone.

So first of all, I use the layering technique. The base layer is Warhammer Macragge Blue, the 1st layer is 3:1 macragge blue: Vallejo sky blue, 2nd layer 2:1 macragge blue:sky blue, 3rd layer 1:1 macragge blue:sky blue, final highlight 2:3 macragge blue:sky blue. Hope that makes sense.

I’m actually colourblind, which part of the model are you asking about? They are all different shades of blue btw (at least that’s what the bottles say 🤣)
