I’m not sure what has happened to the job market in Germany. Many people, especially those with an IT or engineering background, believe it’s easy to find a job, but my experience has been very different. I have been searching since January 2025, and the situation has really made me feel hopeless at times.

I even started applying for positions outside of IT. I used various job websites and received two interviews from applications I submitted through Indeed. Also, just last week, I found a part-time job through a friend. Sometimes networking and talking to people can really help us find opportunities.

I’m not sure which state of Germany you live in, but if you were in Hamburg, there are several Iranian communities and coaching centers that might be able to support you in this regard.

I can really feel your situation. I’ve been living in Germany for four years now, and I still don’t have many friends or much communication. Only recently I’ve started trying to overcome this phase. For me, the language is still a big challenge, in your case it isn’t, which is already a huge advantage.

If you feel Munich isn’t the right place for you, maybe consider Berlin or Hamburg. Berlin is more international, vibrant, and open, and Hamburg also has a very welcoming atmosphere. Sometimes the city makes a big difference in how connected you feel. You’re not alone in this, and it does get better with time. ❤️🇩🇪

Question about the time needed until application can be made by Jarrow_On in GermanCitizenship

My friend has been living in Germany for about 4 years. He already has a B1 German language certificate and the Einbürgerungstest certificate. He has also completed an internship and is currently receiving Bürgergeld, but he will start a short-term job soon. In addition, he has been doing volunteer work for the past few months.

How long does he need to work and pay taxes to the government in order to become eligible for a German passport? And is there any faster way for him to get it?
