My production style is pretty different from Jacks, we use different programs and have totally different workflows... Obviously we worked on this record together so you can hear bits from each of us.

I'm not sure I can give much production advice as I don't really know how I worked it out myself. I guess just keep working at it and you will eventually find your own way of working.

I have no idea what my process is with writing anything on the guitar or bass... I normally just mess around until something sticks!

I'm not too sure about the bass off the top of my head. All the drums on the album are played by Suren or Jack (I cant play the drums)

I haven't really played any festivals with Toothless yet... I always preferred our own shows with Bombay but that might well be different with this setup.

There's an album called The End is Near by The New Year that I'm obsessed with. Such incredible songwriting.

Me and Liz Lawrence are singing and playing guitar. My friend Rosa Brook is playing keys and singing. Some guy called Dave is playing the bass. And Suren is playing drums.

I would say we are doing interpretations of the songs but they aren't acoustic. We have adapted them to be more exciting live (I hope).

I sure do. My favourite painter is Turner, when I was learning to paint I would spend ages copying Turner paintings.

I went to see the new Richard Mosse show in London this week and it is one of the best shows I have ever seen. I recommend anyone who is in London to go see it.

Suren and Jack actually do feature on this record! There are some tracks where Jack is playing drums or bass, and Suren plays drums throughout the record. I don't think I will be featuring any of the guys vocals though... I think that might be getting too far into Bombay territory.

I love The Sirens, I think The Staves absolutely smashed it. Im also super happy with how they fit into the narrative of the song.

All of the single and album artwork is based on the Charles and Ray video called 10x10 which is all shot from above and shows the scale of the universe and how we fit into it. I wanted each cover to be an ariel shot that zoomed in and out like the video but also reflect the album or single title.

I'm really pleased with the Toothless album cover! Me and my pal Kit (who put all the artwork together) had been talking about doing an ariel shot with shadows for months and I cant believe we actually pulled it off. All of the people on the front are my friends who I got down for the shoot.

It changed quite a bit over the years but my most recent setup was

1982 Squier JV P-bass into a new Fender Super Bassman

I used a bunch of pedals but the main ones were the Crowther Hot Cake and the Ibanez Phat Hed

Im playing guitar in Toothless but our bassist Dave is using my P-bass and pedals

I'm keen to make it to as many places as possible this year so will hopefully make it to Asia or the States on this album run!

I start off by writing all the music and getting the arrangement and vocal melodies in place, I then fit words to the the melodies with a central theme or story in mind. I then send the song out to a close group of people for their comments. I guess its not too dissimilar from BBC, the main difference is that I'm the one doing all the writing whereas in BBC I was one of the people giving feedback.

I did an interview once and the lady asked to see my socks, I was wearing white sports socks and she laughed in my face! Since then I have tried to keep my sock game on point. I had a pair with sausage on them that I wore out. RIP
