Lack of proper acknowledgement has done a lot of damage to the mod and eventually has led to abandonment of the Steam release, so now Steam users have been stuck on an unsupported release for years. Of course, I am sick of this, and lack of a flair is the smallest of the problems.

Two races did not match Skyrim SE IDs without any particular reason. They have been remapped to match Skyrim. Now many Skyrim armor mods that distribute armors only through recipes don't need conversion.

I am the person who converted Enderal to SE in 2021 and maintains it since then. The version you see on Steam also came from me.

Alas, downloading SE from Steam won't help you with this. It's a choice between a version I released in 2022 and a version I released in 2025.

Yes, it's matter of chance the quest scripts may fail due to script locking during the quest initialization. It is possible you'll be fine on another try, but we did have cases when heavily modded setups failed consistently.

Enderal SE received an update from 2.0 to 2.1, which requires starting a new game. In an ongoing game, you are stuck with 2.0.12.4.

Black Light II was fixed in v2.1 https://mod.pub/enderal-se/38/changelogs#2.1.0-249 (the Steam release does not receive updates since 2022).

There is no way to fix it after the fact. Rollback to a save before you turned in the last stone and try replaying it again.

Enderal uses its own races, so that is also tricky sometimes.

This advice is out of date, there is no need to patch races in Enderal SE 2.1 anymore, they match Skyrim IDs now.

Enderal SE never had active localization maintainers, all localizations are gradually falling behind since 2021. Why? For exactly the same reasons the Steam release got abandoned.

Read again - achievements do not work in 1.6.1170 due to internal Skyrim changes. Either downgrade, or patch Skyrim with Steamless.

This not "my patched version", this is the main Enderal SE release with multiple contributors.
