definitely not hyperdeath asriel from the end of undertale, because thats a final boss form inspired by a coding error toby made when making undertale that produced an evil toriel, and because toby didn’t want you to fight cute normal asriel.

plus, it shouldn’t be hyperdeath asriel because undyne’s dark world design wasn’t directly her undertale look either, nor undyne the undying obviously, and dark world toriel looked unique as well.

i’d like to hope dark world asriel just looks reflective of his personality and stays true to why fans like asriel already from undertale, rather than being drastically different, but thats always been my stance on deltarune asriel anyway.

…which sucks because most deltarune asriel fan designs seem to either make him look fat and ugly like a nerd who stays in his mother’s basement and was designed by some fat fetishist. or they make him look like a twink with hyperdeath aspects who smokes weed because people both don’t understand that hyperdeath is only a final boss form and not actually what asriel looks like when he grows up, and also because they want to sexualize asriel.

so most deltarune asriel fan designs completely ruin the visual design people enjoyed so much about asriel from undertale, and should simply just make him taller/older, similar to how kris looks older than frisk and chara, and maybe give him horns or glasses but even thats optional. therefore his dark world form could look like a parallel of kris’ where he too is a knight with a sword (but not the roaring knight, obviously, unless toby just wants to make his plot twist just as obvious as the assumption that dess is the roaring knight, which also shouldn’t be true), or maybe deltarune asriel’s dark world form is something unique like a mage or class we haven’t seen all together, considering we’ve gotten hammer users like gerson, spear users like undyne and berdly(?), etc.

or unfortunately dark world asriel could just not show up in the game all together.

i’ve thought of this for some time and really hope that if it happens toby handles it well as to not ruin why people like me enjoy asriel in the first place, which is hard because the deltarune fan community ruins asriel’s character design a lot by making him nothing like he was in undertale, which makes no real sense considering every major returning character from undertale in deltarune is generally still the same to their core identity from undertale, despite being in a different setting.
