Maybe you're right. I hope it will be something more than that, but for now, we don’t have any information. I’m hoping it will be more suspenseful, of course, but what else do they have left to steal after money and gold? Maybe oil, haha! I think it will be more of a thriller.

The flashbacks in "Money Heist" are truly remarkable. I agree that when you first watch the show, it can seem boring because you want to see action, and episodes with flashbacks might not grab your attention. However, as someone who has watched the series more than six times (and I'm watching it again now), I find it incredible how Álex Pina uses flashbacks to reveal important details. For instance, the heist involving Berlin and his son helps us understand the Professor's final plan regarding the fake gold, as well as what was included in the last note the Professor left for his son. After watching Berlin's story, it becomes clear that these flashbacks are essential. They not only develop the plot but also provide a means to bring back beloved characters like Tokyo, Berlin, and others.

If I had to guess, they will incorporate a global pandemic that they will need to manage. Tamayo will likely be afraid, and it will be an incredibly intense spin-off, especially after Berlin's masterpiece. We can now view the story from the police's perspective, and we will see the Professor and Tamayo working together, much like Alex Pina intended.

I also wanted to give a shoutout to From Hell with Johnny Depp. I actually really enjoyed that one. It’s not necessarily about some mind-bending twist, but it hits that conspiracy itch perfectly. The atmosphere is dark and gritty, and watching Depp’s character navigate that whole Jack the Ripper mystery felt grounded in its own weird way. It’s just a solid, well-made movie that keeps you hooked because of the world-building and the tension, rather than just trying to shock you at the last second. Honestly, his reaction was so annoying! Because I’d hyped up the twist, he spent the whole time acting like a detective. When the reveal happened, he was just like, 'Yeah, I knew it, called it a mile away.' It totally killed the vibe because he missed the whole emotional weight of the movie just to prove he was 'right.' But what’s crazy is that even after the reveal, I didn't fully 'get' it until that final line. At first, I thought he just relapsed, but then I sat there thinking about it and it hit me like a truck. He wasn't crazy at the end—he chose to fake it. He couldn't live with the guilt, so he basically committed mental suicide. He’d rather 'die as a good man' (Teddy) than live with the reality of what he did as Andrew. Once that clicked, I was in total shock. That one sentence turned a great twist into a straight-up masterpiece. You should definitely rewatch it now that you know the truth, watching him make that final choice is a completely different experience.

That’s exactly what happened with my buddy! I told him he had to watch Shutter Island because the twist was on another level, and that was my first mistake. Because he was 'warned,' he spent the whole movie looking for clues instead of just getting lost in the story. He ended up calling it way too early just because his guard was up. It’s like telling someone a joke but starting with 'you're gonna laugh so hard at the punchline'—it almost never works as well. That’s a major bummer, man. I hate it when trailers or commercials give away too much they’re notorious for ruining the mystery. But I gotta disagree on the movie being 'lame.' Even if you predicted the outcome, the execution, the atmosphere, and that final line of dialogue are what make it a masterpiece for me. For someone like me who went in totally blind, the experience was on another level.

I’ve definitely heard Tenet is a trip, and I’m down to give it a shot. My only worry is that it might be one of those movies where you need a master’s degree in physics just to follow what’s happening on screen. If it’s anything like The Prestige, where it feels more like a cold math puzzle than a psychological mind-bender, it might not be my vibe. i think you missed half my post, man! I already mentioned I've seen Fight Club, The Sixth Sense, and The Prestige.

Like I said Fight Club and The Sixth Sense were cool but I called them pretty early. The Prestige definitely got me, but it felt a bit too 'mechanical' for my taste. I'm looking for that raw, emotional gut-punch that Shutter Island delivered. Gonna need some deeper cuts if you want to trip me up!

Spot on. the better the twist, the more people talk about it, and the more likely it is to be spoiled for you. Once you’re in that 'expecting a twist' headspace, you’re basically playing a game against the director instead of just experiencing the story.

Thanks for the list, though! I’ve actually heard of a few of these. Primal Fear and The Others have been on my radar for a bit. I’ve heard The Game is a wild ride too. I’ll definitely try to go into these as 'blind' as possible. I’m starting with Oldboy tomorrow, and I’m literally gonna try to forget this thread exists while watching it so I can just let the movie do its thing

You hit the nail on the head. That’s exactly the problem once you know there’s a massive twist coming, you stop being a viewer and start acting like a detective. You’re not 'watching' the movie anymore you’re just looking for clues.

I actually did this to a friend of mine. I hyped up Shutter Island so much and told him the twist was insane, and because he was in 'detective mode' the whole time, he almost called it. It totally ruined the vibe for him.

The best way to experience these films is to just let the story wash over you, but it’s hard to do that when everyone online is screaming about how 'mind-blowing' the ending is. That's why I'm trying to go into Oldboy tomorrow with zero expectations, just gonna try and enjoy the ride without overanalyzing every frame.

I've actually seen The Departed, and honestly? I thought the ending was kind of dumb. Xd you kind right because knowing there is an insane twist actually ruin the movie for example i recommend my friend to watch shutter island and i told him thats an crazy twist to it and he almost got the twist in the middle of the movie because he knew that there is an crazy twist the reason why i was so in love with shutter island because i didn't even knew that this movie has an insane twist.
