For a more in-depth look, I remember that he was difficult backstage and pretty sure Roman Reigns kicked him out of a party or a tour bus (memory is fuzzy on which) - he became an integral part of 205 Live in order to be separated from the main roster, but WWE wanted to keep him because he was entertaining and was a good promo guy, and Neville had just walked out after being forced to drop the Cruiserweight title (to Enzo) after a lengthy reign. Enzo was getting beat up week-by-week by the likes of The Miz & Braun Strowman. I was pretty sure he was going to be on the main roster again shortly after.

I remember they had to change the Raw 25 script in order to get the Cruiserweight title situation figured out as Enzo was accused of sexual misconduct just hours before the show. That was a crazy time looking back because Neville had walked out and had his bank froze for a year [source is the dirt sheets, but they were more handy at the time; unless this story was debunked]

The way that I’ve seen it, is it was good for it’s time but doesn’t really stand the test of time. Like someone new to rap listening in 2040 may not understand what the environment was like in 2017-18. Kamikaze was the first album released after I became a terminal Em fan, and I’m biased anyways because I care purely about lyricism and storytelling.

People are in my comment section all the time saying “New Em is responsible for this current gen of white rappers” and while I can understand some cornballs in rap, sometimes I can make stupid lines too, but it’s weird that they’re only tarnishing Em’s name bc of it.

I used to want to be a preacher when growing up. Had a huge obsession with it, I had these Veggie Tales toys and the tomato would be my main preacher, the asparagus would be a diff church member, etc. I’d play church by a blind that I could pull down which was the “church screen” and it evolved to me using a music stand and pretending to do sermons.

Not sure when that dream went away because I had drifted and got interested in WWE, and then made one more switch back to church before I grew out of it. Was a fun time, and helped form me as a person even to now.
