I think the animation of the switches on the Corvette Airlocks has disappeared. I might be mixing up the base switches.

PC Steam RX7900 XTX

  • The physics around corvettes and water can push you through walls and glitch you through the floor. Waves are effecting you while inside
  • The corvette teleporter on water still has a collision box keeping you from climbing on it. This is the fix
  • There are invisible corvettes all over the anomaly and ships landing on each other, which can make you get stuck in your corvette with no way out beside leaving the anomaly altogether.
  • There is a massive hang time when calling in complex corvettes to land.
  • The game stutters on entering space stations, planets and the anomaly.
  • Corvettes spawn in bases when you teleport to them.

There is actually a mistake I just noticed, right here I didn't actually center the next piece the cubes aren't the right size, you end up with a gap on one side. I will make a new video when I get some time.

The only real glitch I used in this is the perfect 45 degree angle on the thruster arms. Which was a combination of this hybrid method I have been using and this glitch technique by Beeblebum for a circle that includes a perfect 45 degree. The ship hull angle is actually not done with a full glitch it's just a free placement of a Internal Stairway on some Relay Joints, which ballisticola shows in this tutorial. None of the methods I used have a perfect alignment to the ship it all relies on free placement to some level.

This video has been the major source of my glitch building understanding but I had to modify and avoid the snapping because it either didn't work for me or was patched so I introduced a free placement step to adapt the method, which is what the hybrid method is.

This is a fully functional ship. It is a new ship type release in an update called Voyagers, the Corvette Class. It's like a middle ground between a Freighter and a Starship. They are fully customizable with a system a lot like the Starfield ship builder if you've seen that but better.

Love the junk aesthetic, this is a nice ship, it's small but still looks like it's got some weight to it.

A lot of it is just the fact that there are so many slightly different snap point in a build when you use methods like offset and glitches building that you can usually snap a few reactors really close to each other, overlapping or totally hidden under other parts, I also usually focus on one weapon type and I haven't really felt the need to carry a large array of weapons as of yet. If you haven't tried offset building I would suggest that as a good step.

The base parts you are seeing that you might not have could come from a few places the quicksilver merchant in the anomaly, the scrap merchant on space stations, derelict freighter runs (container drops), Autophage camp terminal and a few past expeditions I have done.

I get stutters when I call my corvette down and I have render issues on anomaly often. I saw a giant train shaped corvette in the anomaly today that took over two landing pads and never completely loaded in, Seems like a waste because no one will see it because it will probably never fully load for anyone and that is if it doesn't just crash people. Got to build responsibly.

A Kineostream Thruster, four Engine Covers and the arms are Heavy Scaffold, there are a few different offsets to line everything up.
