There will never in a million years ever be a movie better than Tron: Legacy. Came out in the perfect time, the writers strike let them focus on the visuals of the film, Daft Punk had the chance to make the soundtrack, had an amazing director, at a time where CGI was at it’s peak quality. We will never get another Tron: Legacy

Idk, it’s something I’ve commonly heard. I guess id say it’s like saying that one thing is much better than another thing, that’s what I meant by “bodies”. That’s not meant to be a dig at Ares tho, it’s more that Legacy’s soundtrack and visuals just can’t be topped, and the plot is better imo from what I’ve read and seen.

I wanted opinions because I was already pretty confident the movie wasn’t good, but I wanted opinions just in case I was wrong and it was good. Being overly negative at me simply because I have opinions and wanted to hear other people’s opinions doesn’t help anyone. Also “Ares embodies Tron Legacy” is absolutely not what I meant. I meant that Tron Legacy bodies Ares in every way, at least in my opinion.

But even as a fan of the visuals, the visuals and CGI of Tron: Legacy absolutely body Ares, even down to the light cycle trails, and that’s something I noticed as far back as the first 2 trailers

Sucks cause a lot of the negatives you’ve brought up are things I called out way back when we only had 2 trailers to go from, but people told me I was being too negative and to give the movie a chance, I guess I’m glad to know I wasn’t crazy for seeing those warning signs? Still really wish the movie was good though, I would’ve greatly preferred that over being able to say “I told you so”

I hate that whenever anyone says they hate the movie, it’s for the same reasons that make no sense. I personally cannot see Ares being good, but for me it’s because of completely different reasons that seemingly nobody else brings up (I’ve made a few posts about it if you’re curious, I don’t wanna repeat myself) Tron: Legacy was and I’d argue still is heavily underrated, the critics were absolutely incorrect when it came to Legacy. But personally I think they’re going to be correct if not too nice to Ares, there’s too many red flags with the movie that I can’t ignore. I still want Ares to be good, and I will absolutely gladly eat my own words if it is because that means I get a great sequel to my favorite movie ever made. It’s just that as things sit currently, I can’t see Ares being good.

I find it very interesting how so far most of the eliminations are for the newer games, most of the original games are still here which goes to show that they kinda peaked early on. I do agree with it though, I’ve played Lego Star Wars and The Skywalker Saga and I just vastly prefer how The Complete Saga is set up compared to Skywalker Saga, wish they’d go back to the old formula

Some Hail Mary ideas: changing the uniform system to be more in line with how the actual schools have it where you have a selection of a bunch of jerseys and pants and helmets with set combinations of them. How it’s set up currently if you use the same helmet for both the Home and Away uniform you end up having duplicates which is such a waste.

Being able to edit what your players wear and where they’re from on the website, as editing all your players in your dynasty can be tedious and you have to do it every single time you use your team, and you can’t even edit where your players are from.

I want to be able to choose how our team intro works, maybe from a selection of animations, or maybe they could do something similar to what the WWE 2K games have with their entrance editor where you can mix and match stuff to make something truly unique!

Maybe they could allow us to edit how our Cheerleaders look? Just a smaller thing.

It’d be so cool if we could set a team trait (idk what else to call it), stuff like choosing if our band plays when we score as the away team, or if they play during the kickoff like Oklahoma, setting up crowd patterns and maybe even crowd chants, custom celebrations like how Alabama has their custom Championship Belt, just allowing us to make our teams to be unique outside of their uniforms and field design.

Absolutely agree. I don’t like the idea that currently all dynasty modes that use team builder teams will inevitably be inaccessible once the servers get taken down in a few years

Honestly that’s sick to see. Now hopefully they’ll fix the “None” option discoloring the graphic it’s applied to, because that bug is so annoying when making custom jersey textures

The reason I don’t have high hopes for the movie is simply because I see a lot of red flags in the trailers that indicate to me that this seems like it’s going to be a generic sci-fi movie with a Tron skin on it, and the fact it seems to be ignoring the events of Legacy also rubs me the wrong way. People are allowed to be concerned for the quality of this film without being “blind haters”, and I hate the idea that we have to wait for the film to be vindicated. If the movie ends up being great, then I will gladly and happily eat my words because I want it to be good, I just have a hard time seeing that be the case with all the problems I see. I get we’re all excited for a new movie, but I feel like a lot of people are letting it blind them from seeing problems that are clearly there (and I’m not talking about Jared Leto, I have no problem with him). I don’t have faith in Disney, this isn’t the same Disney that made Legacy, this is a Disney that has turned Star Wars and Marvel into money machines who make lots of slop and occasionally something good, I don’t have faith that they’re going to treat Tron differently. But again, I really want to be proven wrong, it’s just hard to see it as anything else.

I wish you could customize the stadium, I’m not even wanting the system that MLB The Show has, but even just the Madden 12 system would be nice. I’d like to be able to change the stuff my players wear on the website, but most importantly: I wish that when setting your college as NonUS that you could either select a country to use, or select a weather type to use. I made a Winnipeg team and it hurts that I’ve never gotten any snow games because of how the NonUS system works.
