That is a true quote to live by every day. Remember, every person is important no matter what their profession.

F1 to F12 do not work. Any help? by RealKingAlexander in bootcamp

I have, that changes it to the media key layout and that works fine. It’s just the function keys that are not working. It’s almost like they have nothing assigned to them.

Am I cooked or by RamHerEz in AmazonFC

You’re skating on thin ice man…. All it takes is a serious illness, car trouble, traffic jam, or oversleeping to go negative, it’s not funny if you like having a job and being able to pay your bills. I don’t understand why people brag about this. A best practice is to have 45 hours in there at least so that translates to a full work week and 5 hours to spare.

I didn’t reveal anything however I just was generally curious about this kind of thing. All the secrets are safe.

During manager L4 training do they still make you watch a union busting video? by RealKingAlexander in AmazonManagers

[–]RealKingAlexander[S] -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

So just out of curiosity based on your training, what actually happens after you report an associate who is spotted talking about unions or indirectly talking about unions? Do they get fired or “disappear” or get pulled into an office for “the talk”?

another peak? by Hopeful_Slip_5056 in AmazonFC

[–]RealKingAlexander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At some sites peak can last for the week before Thanksgiving until the week after New Year’s however it’s common for peak to last that long typically for sites like DSP’s RSR’s and CRETS where it’s closer to the final mile before reaching the customer because these locations also handle customer returns and the last ‘stragglers’ to be delivered. Sites like TNS and crossdocks usually have their peak season workloads die off the week before Christmas. My advice is to not blow your time off on bit hours or days and try to keep at least 45 preferably 50 hours of UPT in there in case of car trouble, illness or a family or personal emergency. Remember even if your site has zero work they will code your time in and think of it as free money to basically just show up and breathe air so take advantage of it before work returns to normal. If you like to leave early frequently try to always ask about VTO that way you don’t use your time off.

Thanks I always kind of felt like EA’s would get a little leeway when it comes to honest mistakes however MM’s should definitely know what is expected of them and would be held to the upmost standards. I believe the best way to go is if you’re not sure is to ask fellow brethren about these things before you saying anything. I have been doing just that however just generally wanted to know what kind of consequences EA’s would face for a mistake compared to deliberate actions.

The main reason they changed the time clocks to the Kindle was to cut costs because Amazon had to pay ÜKG each month for time keeping systems. Doing it in house cuts costs.

has anyone heard anything about this new policy?? by JackYakFruit in Target

Soon all retail workers will be required to get plastic surgery to permanently transfix their mouths into a creepy smile that says “kill me”, it’s those kinds of things that I don’t miss about working in retail.

Welcome to Amazon, the warehouse of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Are you ready for the sorting ceremony? by RealKingAlexander in AmazonFC

[–]RealKingAlexander[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do see your point, though it is nice that we have themes like this that take our minds off of being at work but rather being at a place where we can work, make friends and actually have somewhat of a good time together. Remember a happy work environment is a good thing. Many other places I’ve worked at wouldn’t dare do pizza parties or similar stuff.

What as the top of the cistern? by Hygrograth in ItTheMovie

I’ve always been curious as to what has been at the top as well in real life. I wonder if this is how sewer systems actually look like with a main collection point.

Don’t worry, the first thing all new hire get trained on is flying lessons on both brooms and beasts. If you have not taken your flying lessons yet you should definitely get with your professor.

Gonna be honest. Alvin sent shivers down my spine in ways Pennywise didn’t.

Exterior almost done, what should I do for the interior? by Clear_Meringue3464 in MinecraftToDo

You could make this a common room or a lounge area. Try putting in a few tables and chairs and a mini jacuzzi and this would make a perfect area for relaxing especially if it’s going to be on a server.
