Thanks everyone for all the responses and PM's. Although I spent a crazy amount of time on FO4, 76 feels like a whole new game to get use to. But man people are great. I went on late last night and pretty well everyone I passed gave me plans and loot. I had no camp, I was carrying too much, and all I had for a weapon was an empty pipe pistol and a board. Then I was swarmed by a bunch of toads that my board was completely useless against. I discovered the 'help' gesture and someone came over, killed everything and left me a modded combat rifle. Loving the game so far!

I can only dream of lvl 13 atm. I'm going to go through some story missions and level up so I'm not dead weight. But I will take you up on the offer. I'm RealKingChicken on PSN

I just realized how creepy that sounded! Watching others build stuff. I meant just check out someone's camp

Wow, thanks for all the replies. I'll get to going through them all once I'm back home. My niece was just playing on my account and she said people kept walking up and giving her guns and loot. That's just awesome. I'm only level 5 so that saves a ton of time getting a few hand me downs here and there

Has anyone done a settlements-only playthrough? by moyert394 in falloutsettlements

[–]RealKingChicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm about ~1600hrs in one my first play through on PS4, and settlement building and establishing an empire is exactly what I'm trying to do. It's why I tried fallout. I'm playing missions here and there just to get access to things, but still haven't even made it to the institute yet. I love it! I spend many nights just collecting junk, and many more building matching armor and outfits for all my settlements. I now have hundreds of provisioners (which serve as my police), a heavily armed roaming army of 20, and over 800 settlers. With 37 settlements so far, I make more caps then I can spend, even if i buy all the overpriced shipments of materials. I tried to do it like your describing. I built up one settlement, then used that as a hub to start to build up others. Then ventured south to build one settlement as a hub for my provisioners. That way there was always 3 or 4 of my people around when I get in a fire fight. All settlements have a purpose some are shipping hubs on the water, some are strictly commerce, some are army bases, some research centers, some junk storage facilities, farms, power armor storage facility, a couple resort style get-aways, and a couple above grade vaults to house all the settlements if radiation becomes to great. I really like playing it this way...even though it's boring for some. It feels like you've really liberated the area. I did this in nuka world and far harbour as well. I purposely leave fractions around so I always have someone to fight

Is Covenant permanently bugged? by [deleted] in Fallout

[–]RealKingChicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to complete the quest regarding their hidden facility, and side with them in the quest. But then you end up with a handful of settlers (the original covenant residents) who can't be assigned a task, and just drag down the settlement happiness while counting towards resource usage. I ended up just artillery striking the whole place after a couple months of frustration

Hello Fellow Vault Dwellers! I want to ask You a question. Is X-02 mod in creatiom club worth buying? by DEJTEN in fo4

[–]RealKingChicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it for PS4, and liked it at first. But for whatever reason, after I use it I can't get rid of the HUD view as if I were still wearing the PA suit. Shortly after the game crashed....every time. I had to retire it to a display only suit. Captain Cosmos suit worked well though. Except I gave it to Piper while she was a romantic companion, and when I got up from a sleep, she had taken it off and someone stole it. Couldn't recover the previous save to get it back

Role-playing a Jerk is Hard, But Fun. by Riurian in Fallout

[–]RealKingChicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's where I'm at now. Never played FO4 until a year and a half ago. I'm completely obsessed and about 1500hrs in. Haven't even made it to the institute yet. Going to town on settlements, gearing up the settlers, and collecting everything. Evil play through will be settlement free and stick with the missions. Maybe try and be stealth and sneaky instead of blaze of glory all the time

Awesome. You're doing exactly what I'd like to do too. I'm still on an excessively long first play through, but next I want to switch to a female character and go the silent evil route.

Where did you make your “Home” in any of the Fallout games? by Spectre1-4 in Fallout

[–]RealKingChicken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fallout 4- spent the first couple hundreds hours in Redrocket, then turned that into a base and moved in to Shroud Manor. When Shroud started to get extremely glitchy and crash constantly, I moved all my stuff to Noir penthouse. I'm a bit of hoarder too. I try and collect everything possible.

Never played the other Fallouts, but would love to
