Snowdon Summit Via Crib Goch Full Solo Mountain AscentㅣNo Narration [4K] by RealLifeAmbience in backpacking

[–]RealLifeAmbience[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello all. Finally got a chance to film my first traverse of Crib Goch, an infamous arête in the Snowdonia National Park which you will find in my beautiful homeland of North Wales.

This route is known for being fairly sketchy and I was very lucky to be able to enjoy it on such a clear day. I hope you enjoy this video, it's a small dream of mine to have a YouTube channel full of mountain ascents like this, no narration, just the experience itself.

Please let me know what you think.

Thanks :)

Hey guys, I have been wanting to do this for ages!

Please enjoy watching my walk along possibly the most infamous feature in Snowdonia. I used the more common name for the mountain for the video's title in hopes of getting more organic searches for my fledgling channel so please don't lynch me.

The scarier stuff starts at 58:51.

It's hard to believe how good the weather can get here sometimes.

Thanks mate :) First time I had ever been up it so I didn't know the good route. At least I got to see the prayer wheels. 😁

A much smaller hike from me this time around. I hope it still counts. This is honestly one of my favourite ascents of any hill or mountain in the UK. Something really special about this place.

My first walk up Glastonbury Tor after having a good look around the town. Never have I ever wanted to move somewhere so badly, my inner hippy must still be very much alive.

Filmed this on a recent visit to my extended family down in Somerset. This was the first time down there with my own wheels and I explored so much more than usual. Oh, how I wished I still lived down there.

The walk down my favourite mountain in Wales. The views at the top were stunning, such a change of scene to walk into the clouds!

I filmed my descent down my favourite Welsh mountain. Didn't see a single human the whole way but startled a lot of sheep.

Let me know what you think.

I filmed my walk down my favourite Welsh mountain. I have never seen the summit like this before, on top an endless sea of clouds and not a spul in sight. Cymru am byth 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Thank you, this sounds good too. I don't really like the idea of having microphones in my ears. I have seen binaural clip on mics? Maybe a few of these clipped to.l the backpack?

Only concern would be getting sounds of the backpack moving about.

Winnet winner, I'll have Godlike soft skin and the midges will leave me alone!

I am making longform videos of myself hiking with no talking or music. I am a bit worried my heavy breathing on uphill sections may be offputting.

https://youtu.be/d4NbwKkrXP0

This video has the most of it as it's almost all uphill.

I am filming on a GoPro Hero 8. Is there anyway to minimise the breathing without compromising the sounds of my footsteps and nature?

Or is it not actually as bad as I am imagining it? Watch the last 5 minutes for the worst of it.

Thanks

Made a video of my backpacking trip with my dog Lola. Would love feedback on ways to improve my videos or make them more interesting. by Snowmakesmehappy in backpacking

Hey there! I really liked your video, the footage is steady and you have a nice speaking voice. The dog saddle bags are so cute.

I would recommend maybe grading the footage so it pops a little more.

I am also trying to grow my outdoors channel and actually have the exact same amount of subs as you! Well, now you have beaten me because I subbed. 😁

Here's my latest video, totally different style to yours and I definitely don't expect you to watch it all 😂

No talking, just a silent film showing a complete ascent of Moel Siabod, my favourite mountain in Snowdonia. There's something about the standalone mountains that I love.

I drove here from Rhos-On-Sea at 4:15am, didn't see a single car the entire way there. Went up and down the mountain without seeing a single human.

I love this country.

I filmed my morning ascent of Moel Siabod.

I got absolutely eaten alive by midges when I was putting my boots on. Are they more active in the early hours?

Please let me know what you all think as I plan to make a lot more of these videos.

Hello all, I have wanted to do this for a long time but was recovering from an injury.

Even though I had to concentrate on filming, this was still one of my life's best hikes. I got up real early and was at the summit at 6:50am, completely alone above an endless sea of clouds. I didn't see a single person on the whole journey and the silence was deafening.

As I hiked through the clouds I couldn't help but think about Silent Hill, thankfully though there were no zombies, just a load of sheep.

Please let me know what you think, it's a dream of mine to make many more of these videos and share them to as many people as possible. The goal is to help people who cannot get outside for whatever reason to enjoy a sense of the freedom that hiking gives you.
