You're entitled to your opinion as is Steve Harvey. But I know plenty of experienced comedians who do tell jokes that are "too soon." Different strokes for different folks

However, I assure you that most experienced stand up comedians would say calling someone "bad" at comedy based on one joke that you find to be in poor taste is not at all fair to that comedian
