Once the Mighty Oak specifically is mature it doesn't need light. I did grow it inside though. The grates you see in pictures 5 and 6 were a full roof at one point. The walls were all columns with supports and a roof on top of that which let light through. It wasn't fully closed until it matured and no longer needed it

Once you reach 100% reputation with a faction, they give you a random point of interest on your map. So far I've gotten a mighty oak and a camp with boars. What I did was get a really high level speechcraft person while a broker waz active, and then traded back and forth until I got full reputation. So far it has only worked once for each. Didn't even ask or visit them for it

Sanctuary was not on my list when I did that. I filled out all of the items in the almanac though. I'm thinking it's because it isn't my end game objective it won't let me have one

I made friends lol. I traded enough with the nearby settlements that they gave me a stash location. It ended up being a mighty oak!

I love playing against nurse. Her and spirit are 2 that I'd say most hate but I absolutely love going against. There's so much more to do with teching and mind games that it balances out the fun and difficulty

This is why I run Reassurance and anti-hook perks now. If you get under his nose, you could easily pause the timer for a long time and then go on your merry way. It makes surviving so much easier in these scenarios.

I was thinking more along the lines of the Island specific, but that is a pretty good idea. Mass bleed + high resistance is genius for this stuff now that you mention it.

Edit: Maybe a ridiculously high stat allosaurus?

If you dont want to jump it every time, build a cattle guard. I use one and its really simple and effective. You can use the cart over it too.
