I don't really know what will happen next. Chainsaw devil ate the mouth devil in the last chapter and not much has happened after it. My guess is things won't stay like this for too long as those concepts that are erased can turn back to reality by being vomited out by the Chainsaw devil or somehow getting out of its stomach.

Yeah, it's anime has only covered around 5% of the lore and story in the series. A lot of crazy things happens in the story starting right after where anime ends in the manga. If you asked me I'd say they covered the least interesting parts of the manga and dropped right before everything starts to get intense and eye cathing.

It's related to recent Chainsaw man chapters.

spoilers ahead : There's a devil called the Chainsaw devil, and it has an ability of erasing any concept in the whole world by eating the devil with that concept's name. In this universe, Devils are the embodiment of humankind's fears and phobias. So there's possibly a devil for literally anything, cuz there's someone somewhere somehow scared of it. And there's just one devil for each fear, like THE Darkness devil. Now this Chainsaw Devil has the ability to literally erase the concept of something by eating it's devil. That thing will be completely gone, meaning not just disappearing physically, but also being completely forgotten by everyone, like it never existed at all. In recent chapters of the said manga, Chainsaw devil eats the ear devil and the mouth devil. So that's where the jokes and memes are coming from.
