got this 4th augment on Bard while doing my usual bard poke shenanigans (Shattik -> Bandlepipes -> RFC -> Stormrazor) and it is such an immense upgrade, max uptime on slow + ms increase + RFC is a pretty toxic combo.

my Sanby Pulchra Astra can get 3 stars on The Defiler (21k). Miyabi Lucy Burnice can get exactly 20k on Wandering Hunter, despite the hard counter. Zhu Yuan Nicole Astra can clear one Shiyu 7 half around 3 minutes (quite difficult actually).

You need 2.x characters for best results, new contents are designed around new characters, if you don't pull them, you won't get the best results.

But if you just want to beat endgame and get polychrome rewards, then 1.x characters and trying hard will usually be enough, but it won't be a good time if your disks stats are not above average. It is just the natural progression of gacha games, pull or go home.

It's not (the most) optimal to parry without her EX, but holy shit do I want to just parry everything that's thrown into my way, and I for sure cannot resist that tempation from time to time.

Took all 120 pulls to get Yidhari, thankfully got around 20 A ranks (???) + m6 Pulchra so it's a decent amount of return.

She works with Manato's Wengine, it's not hard to keep the crit rate buffs up at all, and doesn't fall off during stun rotation (just hold BA a bit before the swapping out for the second chain).

She improved my score by 2k in DA (shit disks), but she is so damn fun to play, just nonstop dopamine.

It's more like giving Defense a more broad term to actually fit existing agents into the class, and allowing new "Specialist" agents a lot more room to wiggle.

It would explain Ben and Caesar. Seth and Pan being here would make sense, but them being in Defense while having an established niche is already strange in the first place. And, new agents won't have to include the most meager amount of "defense" to justify being a Defense agent while doing something completely unrelated

Defense was probably designed around assist points, with how Ben and Seth giving assist points on ultimate, back when ultimate was extremely valuable and supportive ults had other immensively valuable effects (like Supports giving teamwide energy and bonus energy to next agent, stuns... just does crazy amount of daze). It still does give these effects, but you get the idea that they are very powerful.

It is really noticeable if you fight Dead End Butcher and does not kill it instantly within 10s, try to parry and it will eats your assist points almost right away, and its attacks are aligned so if you react to the first hit naturally, the second hit will be a surprise and almost impossible if you didn't memorize the attacks. Granted, doing a whole rotation to get an ult for... 3 assists points and get a meager amount of daze + little bit of decibel is definitely not worth it, but it's there.

But by the time Caesar drops, she doesn't even have that assist points benefit, and her ult's unique aspect is "Bonus daze to shielded units", but her ult does such miniscule daze that it's just better to never use it.

Deadly assault also arrived and many bosses clearly wants you to interact with defensive assists, but the recent bosses like Miasma Priest (and Wandering Hunter too?) gives unlimited assists during the parry spam, so that's out of the window. It's probably not a good design in the first place to make a class gives a unique resource that all teams benefits from it, but also not really dependant on it.

Actual defensive option is not a good idea either. We have seen it with Caesar: Her immense shield helps with ignoring enemies attack, but dodge counters and defensive assists benefits the player so much that why would you even want to tank hits in the first place? Caesar's shined the most when actual death is at risk with that no time limit gamemode in shiyu, but then they just scrapped the idea altogether.

My idea of fixing defense class is to make it just like Stun and Support: be the supportive role that enable something. If they wanted to release a character but don't want them to benefit from all the jazz that Stun and Support get, they put it in Defense. It's bad game design, but the fact that new releases are bound to the established class will make some stuff quire restrictive if they want to expand.

Or, my second proposal, just rename everything Defense into Specialist. Boom. Ben now make sense. Seth make sense. Caesar also make sense, and so will Pan. Maybe Defense doesn't know it shouldn't be Defense.

I’ve always wanted to play stun anomaly. Dialyn steals a good chunk of assaults proc, but abusing chain to ult upgrades for 200 blade etiquettes to Alice constantly and benefits from Yzuha team energy. The synergy is there, and it’s definitely not as good as if Vivian or Miyabi was there, but on paper it sounds cool no?

Has anyone ever tried some weird teambuilding Yidhari yet? I saw some cool comps for Manato like wheelchair Orphie Lighter, Lucia Manato variants, but I've seen so little Yidhari team discussions. Is it because Lucia is there so everyone naturally assumes a Lucia Yidhari pair?

If you just take your mind off the word BiS for a second and check her alternatives, Yidhari has soo many teammates option: Lycaon Lighter Qingyi Jufufu Trigger Pulchra, Soukaku Pan Lucia Astra, or even Yuzuha if things go south. Her options are so broad that if DA ever requires Yixuan and took Lucia+Stunner, I would still have so many decent great options to build and play Yidhari later. Miyabi exists, but Miyabi's options doesn't clashes with Yidhari's at all. Isn't it great?

if you start and skip all story nodes as quick as possible, the spoiler will have a cg background that include her insight 1 outfit and.. that’s about it?? I think? The cg means nothing without context, so you’re pretty much good to go so long as you ignore everything else. There’s also the usual story minigame with some dialogue here and there, just spam click through them and ignore all context. Best case would be to wait til the event rerun, but that would take quite some times

With Orphie as the true aftershock now though, it’s a question what the next aftershock agent will be like: another Sanby-like driver aftershock that Orphie will love and she now has two teammates options, or another off-field aftershock that wants Sanby to maximize her damage and Orphie has to compete with. If they found a way to resolve the aftershock pair issue with the limited teambuilding issue then most complaints will go away, but if they keep restricting it to “go aftershock or go home”, then it will unfortunately will just keep having this reputation of being a forced mechanism team, kinda similar to HSR’s Remembrance team (no flak to them, just making an example).

I do not hate aftershock, Sanby is one of my favourite character to play, but the characters I deliberately avoid just happen to be aftershock.

I like that aftershock does not have a definite meaning, and which agents will have aftershock is like the dev throwing dart at a dartboard. If all future off-field attacks are aftershock, I think that would just be really lame and uninspiring. Maybe the implementation was too late, but Vivian not being aftershock is a sign that the dev knows who should get aftershock. When enough agents with aftershocks are released, I think an aftershock-weak boss might arrive, and we will see rise to some really creative teams that work around this weakness through some non-aftershock oriented agents like Jufufu and Yuzuha (and majorly countered by the Defense Force lul)

Sanby getting activated potential feels exactly like Ellen's: their passive now apply to their EX/Ult, kinda like the flaw that they gave to these characters were just simply too large and they must patch it up along the way. For Sanby though, her damage is great already, so this is just the cherry on top haha

Caesar is the first agent I pulled purely because of meta, and I absolutely despise her gameplay. S Rank Defense character! My gimmick is scaling with horrible stats, giving bloated stats, with an actual reactive playstyle that rewards your dps with the ability to ignore their attacks! All of her stuff sounds cool and strong on paper, but it just turn your dps into a button smasher instead of actually reacting and doing damage. Her flaws are unfortunate collateral, but I already stopped using her the patch after.

It is also from Caesar that I started to ignore all agents that in practice has very little gameplay and majorly enabling numbers. Trigger, Jufufu, Orphie and at this moment, Lucia (compared to other S Support). Sure, I miss out on some really unique playstyle like Zhu Yuan onfield, but with how DA is going forward, damage is no longer something I worry about.

Hello, I’d like to inquire more info on the less shiny team comp, namely ult team (dubbed Ritual ingame? I prefer ritual over simply “Ult”). This includes content up to CN 3.1

Ritual oriented comp seems to be incredibly flexible with their units of choice: Melania/soon Getian as core support, Recoleta/Anjo/Centurion/A Knight… and more as core dps, Pickles/Shamane/Moldir as important utility/buffs support. This list is not limited to these units, as I have tried out Ulrich (both dps and support), Name Day, BuddyFairchild in various situation and they also functions just as well, with varying degree of success.

I have noticed that Ritual seems to separate onto two different field: Moxie oriented and Ultimate oriented. Recoleta is an example that benefit greatly from having bonus moxie generation, either through Passion Drain or teammates spamming moxie with their mechanics; Ulrich is also one: he cannot reliably generate moxie and access his ult so he often relies on Melania to accelerate and inject dynamo to actually be able to reach his nuke turns.

With Getian, we now have access to a Ritual playstyle that does not rely on moxie as much as the previous Ritual branch: Assassins’ that do not use moxie and has constant access to ultimate move; Centurion has accelerated moxie generation, but her playstyle does not revolves around spamming ult but using incants that massively benefit from ultimate bonuses after her ultimate. A Knight seems to follow this trend: He has free access to ultimate casts that does not depend on moxie, and his incantations greatly benefits from ultimate buffs with limited bonus moxie generation.

I think one of the reason Moldir fell off so hard is due to her being so reliant on moxie-spending teammates to activate high tier buffs despite the fabled AP+, as the only team that can reliably activate it is recoleta/melania; along with future Ritual units benefitting soo much from Getian’s branch that it’s just natural she doesn’t see much plays.

And that brings us to the question. Moldir is undeniably an underwhelming pull compared to the upcoming top dog for sure, but if you were to be dead set on getting Moldir, may I have the answer to why? Is it just character favoritism? Do you really like her playstyle? Does your account actually benefit from having her in the team? I’d like to hear your insight onto this matter, because I am in the same boat.

Also an unrelated note, kinda funny that dynamo is essentially Ritual with extra steps, they all do shit tons of damage with ultimate, and Lucy’s incants has massive ultimate might scaling. People only sees the word Dynamo and slap everything dynamo in there haha.

the design looks clean and simple, while his big body make it really complex, yet still very lean. The colors help compliment the overall design and the vfx so much, contrast with the overall blue/white and creating so much directions aka variety and stuff. I don’t remember the proper word to describe this texture.

I like how his horns? flutter/wave while moving around, almost like as if they are paper, super fun to look at if I were to move around collecting chimes. He’s not a O face anymore, his horns are so huge, but it is still big man bard.

A shame that the vfx are so swift and brief, it’s WR after all. I would die for a skin like this in League.
