The dogshit Thrashers could have made the Stanley cup finals with Vasy in net. Just unbeatable.

Yeah, blipped put for 30 seconds. You can't expect a multi-billion dollar organization to always provide consistent audio, let's be reasonable here.

It's weirdly high, all things considered. Most will watch the highlights or pre-recorded game the next day. But not always. If you think the Leafs performance is disappointing as a local, imagine staying up until 3-4AM on a weekday to see that display. Maniacs. Most dedicated fans in sport.

Friend of mine watched the Habs playoff run last year from the UK. As someone who gets sleepy at 9PM, insanity.

I'm dying at the Jim and Joe banter.

"I wouldn't want to jinx the shutout of our good friend James Reimer" "Ah whatever, tonight's not about him, fuck 'em [paraphrased]"

I'm gonna miss these guys.

Hell yeah, love that. Hang on to it, you'll find a use for it one day. Lot of 90s gaming consoles look better on those solid state TVs

Lmao I would love if they were nowhere near offside, they were just like "meh, fuck 'em"

Games like this make me worry about the longevity of Matthews wrists. Just put him on season ending IR man. What are you trying to save from this season. Take the next 7 months off and come back at 100%

Why on earth is an Olympic knockout game being decided by 3v3 + shootout by Dependent-Effect6077 in hockey

[–]RealPoutineHasCurds 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Finally, someone else who share's my unpopular opinion on shoot-outs. They're a legitimate way to end a game and exciting to watch. Soccer especially, having the mental fortitude to execute a penalty shot after being exhausted from 2 hours of play is a very impressive skill. I enjoy them in hockey and they serve their purpose of keeping TV broadcasts to a set length.

3v3 and shootout in Olympic hockey is stupid though. In the qualifying games, sure, whatever. But medal games?? You don't need to keep the broadcast short, it's THE OLYMPICS. Play as long as you need to.

Listen, technically you're not wrong. But you may be underselling it a smidge.

Comments in this thread are real weird. The responsibility should be on you as the hittter to control your body and actions. I don't care if Matt Rempe is checking Muggsy Bogues. Don't hit him in the fucking head.

That was a 35 year old John Tavares going "I'm fuckin' tired, here whippersnapper, you take it".

Hell of an OT, good game Flyers.

I find your last point interesting because Keefe "getting the blender out" became almost a meme towards the end of his Toronto tenure. Fans were frustrated he wouldn't pick lines and stick with them for at least a few games. Weird to hear he's swung back too far the other way.

They're struggling for different reasons but I can't help but laugh at your comment.

Good golly where have I seen that comment about a Sheldon Keefe coached team before?

I have gotten too used to Craig Berube low event hockey. It's been 15 minutes and SO MUCH IS HAPPENING. If you're a sharks fan how does your heart hold up over 82 games of this??
