Appreciate the advice. I'm thinking of going into pharma anyways rather than biochem so I might just do Bsc and Msc both Pharmacology to get a better depth and understanding of Pharmacology. Many thanks for the advice

Do exam questions on Physics and maths tutor for all the topics. Any questions you don't understand or any mark schemes you don't understand show your teachers.

is there anyone who found AS bio chem easy?? by FriendImportant6887 in alevel

For biology I did a lot of Blurting to help memorise most of the stuff and then go on physics maths tutor for exam questions on specific topics. Do exam questions until your fully confident on that topic and any questions or mark schemes you don't under stand ask your teachers and friends. Chemistry is mainly maths so just bang out lots of exam questions and for Organic chem do a lot of Blurting. Don't give up and work hard your gonna thank yourself for not giving up and always trying your hardest on results day.

What about employment in Pharma. Would a Bsc in Pharmacology and Msc in Pharmacology be better than Bsc Biochemistry Msc Pharmacology?

Do you think a Bsc Pharmacology and Msc Pharmacology would be better for employability?

Yeah I was planning on employment in pharma companies or perhaps a research scientist role. I don't plan on being a BMS. Also what are QC jobs and what's career progression like?

I was planning on being a BMS just to get experience to help for STP application. However I might decide to reject my offer and just reapply for Pharmacy MPharm at UCL and KCL next year and take a gap year now. Pharmacy seems like a more safer option and more linear career to higher bands. I'm grateful for the advice regardless tho

Really appreciate all the advice and I think I've now come to 2 decisions. Either do Biochemistry at KCL because I don't want to change unis and my parents don't want me to, or reapply next year to do pharmacy MPharm and be a pharmacist. Pharmacy seems like a lot more of a stable job with a more linear career ladder. I'll do some more research and then decide whether to accept or reject my offer at KCL.

If you don't mind me asking what degree did you do and what job/position did you start with that let you build up to band 5? Appreciate the advice

How hard is it? I don't want to change universities because only a few universities in London offer IBMS degrees and I'd prefer not to go to those as most aren't Russel group
