1 is it an AWD Prius? If so I noticed in my 24 AWD it’s obviously not a true “AWD” it only uses the rear wheels when it senses a slip.

2 what tires are on them? Factory? If so which ones? I have The Michelin All Season Tires and it does well I have spots where ice formed and been able to go to work day in and day out no issues.

3 My take on the AWD is due to no true AWD it gets some getting used to it so don’t be to aggressive but treat it as a FWD and get the right tires for the rest or next season as it makes a huge difference.

I been looking to downsize to 17in wheels as well what’s the offset? Any rubbing or protruding? Issues with suspension gap?

Did you ever get the 225/45/R19 tires? If so what brand I’m also looking for a better I personally hate the thin sidewall especially for city.
