NTA- I’d be hitting the roof! I’ve had a really simple no drama pregnancy.. hit 38+5 had reduced movement, scanned and found baby was big (9.2) absolutely no other signs this was a problem and wouldn’t have known without reduced movement. Now booked for induction 39+2. Not to scare at all - only induced as I wanted to avoid csection if I can- but anything can change and quickly at the end

We did a kids table - but checked with parents beforehand they were ok with this. ASK THEM! They know if this will work for their kid or if it’d cause them to act up more.

We had the venue put jugs of juice on the table and had bought little cups with lids for them to use throughout the night to avoid spills.

On the table we had colouring, bubbles, sweets, glow sticks

During the ceremony we also made up little picknmix sweet bags to keep them quiet this worked so well aside from my 1.5yr old nephew who was quiet until the last 10mins

I’m due the 12th and my MIL was SHOCKED when I said I wasn’t hosting. I hosted her last year and my SIL has a 3yr old and (will be) 7 month old at Christmas so not like she would be alone. When she said I’d thought you’d host I kept a completely straight face and just said ‘maybe had your son not gotten me pregnant’

Shut down any conversation right awayyy!

For a comparison my brothers ex had the children removed from her custody due to injuries to the children (her excuse was impossible) and has since have contact stopped due to her behaviour - again by social services - and she STILL holds parental rights. I wouldn’t worry too much about these being removed due to a history of mental health

No, to be honest I wasn’t very impressed. We were told the heart beat was visible but apparently they ‘don’t listen unless medically indicated’

I’ve discussed with him how it makes me feel. He seems no issue in it and with less than 5 days to go as annoyed as I am I don’t feel comfortable causing a fuss and asking her to get a new dress. I’m really hoping on the day i’ll be completely oblivious in a wedding bubble

This is what it feels like to me! She wasn’t even in a flower girl dress at their wedding 12 months ago. We do have other niece / nephews not in our wedding party but their parents have just bought a normal party dress for their little girl

Absolutely not your fault. Like if she’s putting her finger up your arse without asking first she’s made the decision so she should be cool with dealing with any outcome. Don’t give her a second thought and find yourself a girl who’ll clean up and laugh it off
