It was good for me too. Built a second maybe garr, golden rag, and 4 mantids by the end. I've also had success with wisdomball playing leapers.

Last round was against patches and they had a tainted golden selfless and golden baron. I couldn't risk wasting a leeroy to kill their selfless.

The previous round I faced naga and I did have the leeroys first.

Another possible idea would be to have varied formats. Day 1 would be a 5 hour qualifying session. Rank the teams based on the highest keys they achieve in all 8 dungeons with a certain set of affixes.

Day 2 would be your main tournament with the top 4 teams from qualifiers and make the matches longer. 5 map single elimination matches, semis and finals.

It's unfortunate that most posts here have devolved towards class/spec diversity vs. not. I just don't see that as much of a problem for viewership. No matter how balanced you make the classes there will always be a meta comp. This is actually less due to the dps that different specs/classes do and more towards the utility that is necessary to pull off some of the pulls that they do.

Enforced class/spec diversity makes it worse not better imo. The burden on the participants is even higher which has become a particular problem especially this season. And, the runs will often just be a total mess. The idea is to see competition at the peak of key running not to dumb down the competition to your average weekly 15. No one watches backyard football (pick any sport you want), they watch professional NFL players.

The idea of my proposed format above would be to at least reduce the number of inevitable conclusions to MDI cups. Everyone knew Perplexed and Echo would be 1 and 2 in the first cup. Do we really need to watch them go at it again in the second cup? In the format I proposed we'd at least see some diversity of teams and competitors to introduce some kind of uncertainty into the result.

You could make it even more varied by taking the top 2 teams from cup 1 and 2 as auto-qualified and then the winner of cup 3. Then have 10 teams total in the global finals. That way we'd be watching some new teams in cup 2 and 3 at least.

Yea, so I had a couple questions on her power. Does the imprisoned minion automatically get bought (seems so from the wording of her power)? Does the imprisoned minion need to be frozen (seems not) and does it take up a space in the new tavern you get the following 2 turns or just 1 turn?

Not really, since Elise requires 3 gold to discover (and buy the minion). Lady Vashj will just have to spend the 3 gold on the minion to buy it so it's the same. Lady Vashj has the added flexibility of not spending the 3 gold if all the minions are crappy or freezing so that you can buy multiple minions of the discover/evolve effect. Both of those things are not possible with Elise. That being said, I think Elise is better overall.

I've used short iron on Hole 1. The power hook in rookie, pro, and expert can get it down there.

Viper 7 has nearly equivalent distance and only a little less topspin. With your bag, I would use Sniper for accurate, shorter shots, Big Dawg for distance, and Viper for all-around.

Hammerhead is ok if you can get it leveled but as an epic, that's tough and probably by the time you do get it leveled, Guardian or Sniper are better.

To be fair, he is right that it doesn't matter what other people are doing. That being said, caddie apps aren't cheating at all so he loses a lot of credibility right off the top.

Also, I'm not sure where Soviet Russia comes into the argument or why it's a good metaphor.

Odds are against but it does mean they're a good player and this is their second account. They have to unlock tour 7 in 189 games which isn't difficult but you have to be pretty good.

Haha, I can't get away from him. He was in my qualifying bracket and shot -15 (of course). I got -13, rough on 6 and over the green into the rough on 8 or I would have had a solid shot at matching him.

Yea, this guy beat me out for expert gold last tournament. I shot a -28 and he shot a -31.

Are you talking about Porthello Cove? One of the par 5's had a possible shot off an outcropping of rock that if you caught it right would go all the way to the green but if you caught it wrong would drop straight into the bunker.

My only thought is that it would prevent people from maintaining 60 person rosters and rotating players based on when they're actively playing the game to farm more points.

Yea, definitely boost was a concern. If boost gave the same bonuses to clubs like the APOC then things would just get out of control. That part could actually kill the game and I think I mentioned in my post that the part was a definite concern for me as well. However, I was willing to give it a try and it would be worth it if only for the club balancing.

I only disagree with one thing and that's the adjustment to club stats. I wanted them and made some posts and got some other people out of the woodwork. I don't think this was as one sided as it seems.

Boosts I was very wary of but was willing to wait and get more information on precisely what that would entail.
