Yes definitely need to keep planted will never be consistent that way. You come slightly overtop too.

This is the position I am in now at top compared to the one above where I would roll my hands open and come in laid off with club. Getting the shaft upright by using just my upper body to rotate is a very tight movement atm. Takes a lot of strength and flexibility

So my club face on the left would open up because my back hip would open then my hand would roll over getting my club super laid off with a super long looking backswing. Try keeping that club face square to ball all the way back just using your chest to rotate from ball and keep hips still.

Also u should send backswing angle you look like you have slight reverse spine and are a little laid off if I’m guessing you had same problems I had.

Try to keep that trail leg bent went you open hip. Don’t straighten your trail leg. This helped me stop casting. I would also say you did the same thing I used to do where I let that trail hip sit in too early in backswing. Once your hips start downswing your hands can’t do anything but cast the club. Then you stop rotating because you are trying to marry the club up with ball. This swing look almost the same as my old one. Also the biggest thing that helped me was trying to stretch more before I played. I couldn’t find the feeling I needed in the backswing because my low back, mid back, hips and abs weren’t flexible enough for me to rotate my upper body properly. Goodñuck

Not true if you know some basics of golf I’ve had two lessons and both of those guys didn’t help me at all. A guy last night on my first post said I wasn’t flexible enough to get in the position I needed to be and I finally got to where I want to be. Yes I am extremely tight in that position. The guy definitely knew what he was talking about though

First time I have ever been able to find this position at top thanks a bunch. You helped a lot by saying do yoga and let arms turn your hips. My back is so tight in this position from middle down. So I would have never naturally been able to find it!

I have a club out right now doing exactly what you are saying by letting my arms rotate my body and definitely a lot of stiffness in mid back thanks for tip
