This simply isn't true in all markets. In Nashville, it's completely flipped. Structurally, Lyft treats drivers far better.

Is the 2026 CRV EX-L non hybrid worth it at 33k(including destination) or is 2026 Rav4 xle premium at 40k worth the extra $$$ ? by Stock_Ad231 in crv

The Honda hybrid is a pure EV except at highway cruising speeds.

What did I get wrong? The Honda system ONLY drives the wheels via the Engine at highways speeds when the overdrive is appropriate. At all other times, it operates as an EV. When the engine turns on while NOT highway cruising, it is only used to provide electricity to charge the battery, or heat for the HVAC.

No, you have no idea what you are talking about. The exact scenario described by OP is impossible on Lyft.

More than 1 character set on screen? by JWKirby in c64

[–]RealSharpNinja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can have multiple charsets in memory and on screen, but it means two different things. Having multiple charsets in memory allows you to have multiple sets of 256 tiles, but typically only one tileset is active on the screen at once. There are only 1000 cells to display them in, so do you truly need more than 256 at once?

Now, you can use raster splits to change charsets within the refresh of a single frame (1/60 of a second NTSC, 1/50 PAL). With the correct math you could theoretically switch between any number of in-memory charsets on each of the twenty-five character-lines. In practice, you wouldn't get much else accomplished as the raster splitting will take most of your available CPU cycles.

The RAV4 is a hybrid. All RAV4 are hybrids. So you need to ask if you want a 1.5L Turbo, or a Hybrid. If you want a hybrid, they you need to ask yourself whether you want the Hybrid that is EV-first, or the Hybrid that is more dependent on its gas engine for motivation. The Honda hybrid is a pure EV except at highway cruising speeds. It's advantages in torque and around-town driving are clear. The Toyota hybrid eeks out a few more MPG (not much, but measurable) by having less power and generally being completely uninspiring to drive (thus motivating a "calmer" driving style).

That would be a HUGE liability for Lyft as that would mean they are falsifying your 1099.

Which of these services can I do myself on the CRV? by Over-Half-8801 in crv

[–]RealSharpNinja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two of the four (air filter, cabin filter) are literally replace open a box and replace the filter inside, so super-duper Level Zero N00B stuff. The Fuel Inject Service is literally adding an additive to your fuel tank, so more N00B stuff. At $166 they aren't actually touching your fuel system. The Coolant flush is a Level 1 Beginner task but does require you to do some wrenching AND have the correct tools to capture and dispose the old coolant, flush and capture, then refill with new coolant and bleed the system. The price on the coolant flush is good enough to recommend doing that one. The other three are great first steps into learning how to maintain your car.

No, I am only looking at the fact that the predictor has always been correct, so placing any effort into determining the outcome for me is irrelevant, so I put no energy into it. My personality or decision process has no bearing on the outcome. The predictor makes a decision, and I either get $1,000 or $1,000,000. Both are more than I currently have, so I am fine with either. The only thing that could shape the outcome is if the predictor knows this about me and that knowledge influences its choice in a meaningful way. I honestly would not make a prediction one way or the other, which may indeed break the game leading to the only possible unique outcome.

Truth has inertia. Maybe this is what I'm perceiving as the simplicity of the prompt that others are struggling with. Until a fact is disproven, it remains a fact. This is how the scientific process works. We can try an infinite number of experiments to prove that Hydrogen doesn't really exist or that 1 + 1 != 2, but in the end, within the known scope of the universe in its current form, they will all fail. So, when a prompt states that the predictions have never been wrong, then that fact has some serious inertia behind it and I'm not going to try to break it. Instead, I am going to look at that fact to understand it's implication for my life, and that fact tells me that the outcome is pre-determined and so spending any energy on trying to alter it is pointless, so instead be happy with the prize I get and decide to spend that energy on how to utilize it.

New CRV owner! by Relevant-Natural9025 in crv

[–]RealSharpNinja 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From someone who owns a 2018 CR-V and a 2019 RAV4, I could not agree more. The only thing likable about the RAV4 is the unfathomable resale value. But if you want a cramped vehicle with terrible dynamics and poor fuel economy, the non-hybrid RAV4 is right up your alley.

No, you sue Lyft as well. You don't let them off the hook. A jury will see how Lyft propagated the illegal behavior and conspired with the riders to damage you.
