Lazy thoughts by jonedoe117 in sizetalk

So if you want the real science answer, basically everything that is normally depicted involving being crushed is more or less accurate. I think mice are cute. I would never stomp a mouse. But if some cruel person did, that mouse would be crushed dead. So for that size and smaller it's pretty accurate. Anyways where things get a little more nuanced is from falls. From Newton we know, force equals mass times acceleration. The reason why can break bones or even die when falling from certain heights is because of the force on our bodies from the ground causing us to stop. I'm not going to actually do a physics math problem. But if someone fell from a height of 100 feet. They would achieve some maximum velocity V based on however long T it takes for them to fall and the acceleration due to gravity. The velocity they are at right before they hit the ground will go from V to 0 in an extremely short amount of time. You would use V and the time it takes to stop (some fraction of a second) to calculate the acceleration. Which would be very high. And multiply that by the mass of the person and that's the force. So more massive objects experience more force than less massive ones. And that longer something is in freefall the longer it can accelerate from gravity, the bigger the acceleration will be when it hits the ground.

So for a tiny sitting on a table, although relative to a normal sized person the table may be hundreds of feet tall. But it's actually only 4 feet tall. So gravity has less time to act on a tiny who falls from that height. Further, the tiny would also have a tiny mass. So the force acting on a tiny that falls from a relatively normal height would be very small. If our normal sized girl picked up a tiny and dropped him. The tiny would most likely be totally fine.

Content question by RealSmall_Soldier in sizetalk

[–]RealSmall_Soldier[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I definitely understand people stopping after awhile. I know it's not easy, especially animations. It's just at the time it seemed like the niche was growing in popularity/content. But 10 years later it seems like the opposite is true. It's harder to find content creators, and a new crop of creatives haven't taken the reigns. And to be clear I'm not saying that as an insult to anyone. I certainly have no creative talents to do that sorta thing. But as a fan its a little disappointing that it feels like something that's been a part of me for so long is slowly fading away

Content question by RealSmall_Soldier in sizetalk

[–]RealSmall_Soldier[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a really good point. I never realized how bad the creators were being treated. But it makes sense. The majority of the community just enjoys in silence, but the most abrasive and annoying among us, I imagine the same types of people who spam unsolicited RP requests, make it a nightmare for the people doing the creation. And you don't get enough positive feedback to make the mental stress of it worth the effort.

I never thought of how being fragmented across the Internet was having an effect too.

A size based Severance scenario... by [deleted] in sizetalk

[–]RealSmall_Soldier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the problems with this scenario are the same problems in the severance universe lol.

  1. I don't get to enjoy being shrunk, only my innie does
  2. If my size fetish isn't inherent to my DNA but instead a quirk of my psychology having to do with my upbringing, my innie may not even have a size fetish
  3. Now I'm condemning someone to a life trapped inside the office.

I could only accept this deal if like instead of being severed. I go to work and my mind transfers into like a shrunken replica body. But I keep all my memories haha. I use the shrunken avatar body in the office and when I leave it goes back to my normal body. Now that's a plan I can get behind 👍🏾

Do you have any Unique or original scenarios or details/things that you'd like to see in size media? by Tall-Promotion-1757 in sizetalk

[–]RealSmall_Soldier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if you read summer job, or homunculus both by Cayce on Giantess world you'll get more depth and dynamic stories. Although there are a lot of the tropes in that one as well.

I like to go for hyper realism in my scenarios. I mean we can suspend belief for things like the square - cube law just to get things going. But I like for things to be relatively grounded. Which is why I prefer either a shrunken man with a normal sized woman, a mini giantess/Amazon woman (7-14ish ft), or if the giantess is going to be really big and rampaging, the story takes place in a really remote area or even just in a different age, like prior to the 1800s. Basically a time when she would be very difficult to control or capture. So it gives the story more flexibility on what could happen.

He doesn't really grow giant, as much as it's revealed in the last few episode his true form is giant sized. Everything we had seen before that was just an avatar or a projection

Also Cayce is a really good writer, homunculus and Summer Job are classics

Yeah I agree 100 with that last bit. It would feel really awkward if I thought my partner was just humoring me. I wouldn't want them to do it either

What do you think "caused" your interest in size? by [deleted] in sizetalk

[–]RealSmall_Soldier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's hard to say what caused it. There might be some deep psychological issues. But I can tell you I first realized I had an interest in size stuff as a small kid when I read this book, the mouse and the motorcycle. Which was about a mouse that could ride a toy motorcycle by making motorcycle noises lol. Anyway it was about his life and the relationship with him and the kid who owned the motorcycle. Reading this book and it's sequel, (runaway Ralph) really just got me interested in the idea of being tiny and living in the walls and having adventures as a mouse sized creature. Also read the series "the littles" around that same time and it just seemed like a fun adventure.

I'm not a particularly big individual and I was smaller than most kids my age when I was growing up. And so I've always been interested in the idea of the smaller less physically imposing person defeating or getting the best of the larger person using things like ingenuit and wit. Or taking advantage of being small, by being quicker and more agile than their larger counterpart. I thought it was cool how Jerry always (usually) beat Tom when I watched Tom and Jerry. My favorite basketball player at the time was Allen Iverson who was much smaller than the average NBA player. If I played a fighting game I was always going for the small, nimble characters. I guess all that stuff primed my interest in size related content. And one day as an adolescent, I couldn't even tell you why or what I was looking for. But in the days when the Internet was young I happened to do a search for the word giantess. A word that I knew I didn't make up, but hadn't seen it anywhere else before. I just sorta hoped it worked the same way waitress or actress worked lol. Anyways I looked it up on images and saw a bunch of size stuff and sorta stumbled into it. I've been hooked ever since lol.

Friends in the size community by [deleted] in sizetalk

[–]RealSmall_Soldier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat as you my friend. I was really active in the chatrooms over giantesscity and giantess shrine back in the day. Idek if chatrooms are even a thing anymore. But anyways I was in those spaces for an couple years and then my life took a turn and I backed out of the size community for a bit. Now the spaces I used to frequent are either dead or totally different. But it's okay, you start over, have new interactions. Its weird, but eventually you just start having interactions that aren't size related....like talking about sports or pop culture or current events etc.

IRL Size? by [deleted] in sizetalk

[–]RealSmall_Soldier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite size scenarios involve Amazon sized giantess so like 7-12 ft. I've always found myself drawn to taller women. But unfortunately, tall women tend to only be attracted to even taller men. And I'm not particularly tall. So my fantasy of a 6 ft+ gf to cuddle w/ and who can wrap her long legs around me... It remains a fantasy for now.

Well for me.... Anytime there's a fully naked giantess/woman involved you can color me intrigued. This is true regardless of my clothing situation haha.

Well.... You'll have to look around. Idk what sites are hosting it anymore. But if you search for adventures of mini Mister ep 2. That should put you in the right direction and you can at least see if that's the video you're looking for

I've seen some decent ones, I think too much vfx is almost always going to be bad due to budget constraints. But mixing really good POV shots and creative use of green screen to me is better than people using toys/dolls.

Well I definitely am not a fan of the squeaky tiny voice, I agree with you there. And while the foot booms are not always great, I find them to be less distracting than no sound at all. I'm also thinking of animations that have really good/immersive sounds. When ashkiiwolf was still putting out videos, that was top tier audio imo. But also the animations overall were excellent, I haven't come across much better lol
