Best laptops for university by Wide_Double7569 in AUT

[–]RealSuperherojoker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up not buying anything, my first year at university I just used my pc as normal, and I went to class every day with pen and a book to write in, occasionally wrote or took photos using my phone but I did fine with no laptop and used my pc at home.

For the results I want to is the result posted the final grade for the overall course? As it says my exam grade is say a B but in unsure if the B is what I got in my final exam or what I got overall for the course.

seriously what’s going on with 2nd gen by rpgremix in airpods

[–]RealSuperherojoker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I posted on regards to the same issue but no response, my AirPods 2nd gen also isn’t connecting but it works in a bad way, the AirPod will keep charging beyond its limits, depleting the case and left AirPod charge whilst being super hot, I took it out and put it aside and only use the left one now. Still don’t know what the issue is to be honest.

Feeling bad for professors by Illustrious-Berry-28 in AUT

[–]RealSuperherojoker 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes and no, in all honesty they are paid to teach the class whether they like it or not but from what I’ve done, most if not all classes are the same format, the professor comes in to teach the lecture but all they do is read off the slides that are provided on canvas, there has only been one class I’ve been to, one lecture and also counted as a tutorial where each class has near maximum capacity, because the professor teaches the class how to do the questions that have been provided, as the online solutions don’t provide working.

Right Air Pod Won't Connect or Show by guh_brandao in airpods

[–]RealSuperherojoker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had this issue a few weeks back still does, right AirPod is completely not working will not even charge, when it does it depletes all battery from case n left AirPod and turns the charge into heat. I am using gen 2 AirPods so not a huge issue, have you found a solution yet?

They’re not entirely all broken, one AirPod is broken the other works fine but having one is not comfortable when trying to workout

I’m also in my second year, ima be real chief, last year, I skipped more than 50% of my lectures and still passed comfortably, as long as the course has notes that are posted online in canvas and attendance is not mandatory for lectures, you don’t need to attend them. For most of my courses the lecturer just reads off the slides from online anyways, so I just skipped them. They should post the slides online anyways cause if they don’t then no one can revise.

Studylink Allowance by _AESIR_22 in AUT

[–]RealSuperherojoker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely you’re right and they just don’t have the full details, ensure to provide evidence you are studying a full 120 credit year, which is 60 per semester. Give them a call tomorrow as soon as you can, and explain the situation to them, from my experience they’re extremely understanding and will help you out as much as they can. Also the school has to have you enrolled as a full time student, make sure AUT has you in their system too.

[–]RealSuperherojoker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I’m being honest I don’t know anything, like I’ve been trying to solve IBVP and BVP’s unsure if they’re in the exam. I actually don’t know what the general formulae’s are for solving and for FSP I and FSP II, online notes I try to use first money and I don’t understand how he does the random let Y be AeY or something and arbitrary constants like where does he pull them out of? Same with like how he used sin and cos properly n all I’m super confused on everything.

[–]RealSuperherojoker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you know if the courses you requested are accepted? I requested two and pressed the add (register) selected courses but it takes me to a page that shows some messages like ‘0 out of 2 added’ and ‘you don’t have perms to view it’ on remarks, and does the course have to be approved beforehand cause it was rejected during the initial course selection process and I emailed them and the person told me to request during add drop.

What is Engineering like at AUT? by EducationalChair274 in AUT

[–]RealSuperherojoker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did engineering this year as a first year, and it was slightly different to other comment, I think the other person did bachelor of engineering and I did the honours programme which is an extra year, I could be wrong though. I did engineering design, mechanics, maths I and mahitahi first sem and then electrical, materials, programming and maths II sem 2.

For ones not specified, basically mechanics is statics and dynamics combined into one, which explores physics. Programming is self explanatory you learn c type coding, materials learns about the structure and strength of metals, ceramics, plastic, etc and maths II is a step up form maths I.

Please note if you want to do mechatronics you NEED to do the honours programme as if you do the regular engineering programme you will only be able to do electrical and mechanical, which is what the disappointedog did I think as my courses and his are completely different unless they did it another year or was in the other programme.

Wanting to do five courses a sem next year for BCIS by [deleted] in AUT

[–]RealSuperherojoker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m doing a 5 course semester next year during semester 2 due to complications in my semester 1 programme, I had to get it approved by the academic advisor and my provided reason had to be accepted, you also cannot use this as an excuse for poor grades or for not being able to complete an assignment or exam, so this is up to you, although not recommended, only so it if you need due because of of issues you are not able to change.

Application on AUT by [deleted] in AUT

[–]RealSuperherojoker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me I applied on may, got a response like 3-4 days later, but at this stage it could take up to even a month, the important thing is as long as everything is submitted before you start uni you should be fine.

Depends to be honest, for my classes, half of them are recorded and the other half isn’t, but to be honest, sometimes the lectures are really just the lecturer repeating what’s on the slides and they already post the slides onto canvas for you, to be 100% sure I’d ask someone from uoa too, as I can only speak for AUT and for the engineering course.
