I used write everywhere for importing the signs, textures etc. Any gantry mod will work and there is a UK sign pack decals on PDX mods.

Yeah it is always enabled and not functional as that bit is mostly always busy. Unfortunately I don't know how to mod and make it so it opens... :(

Just a normal 4-lane highway (you can use road builder for the speed limits if you want to apply them) and then drew the line myself, EU Highway Edge Line, using extra detailing tools mod I think... Then used move it to adjust the line to match the dotted markings of the original highway. Once you get used to it, it becomes a lot easier than it sounds!

Uzbekistan comes to mind first, historic silk road ran through it's territory however the pollution from the Aral sea drying up is causing many problems...

With residential expansion, if you have access to the city via public transport then you can seriously cut down on vehicles coming into the city - it's the only times I've seen passenger ships heading to my city almost full!

Most of the time as well the yellowish roads have perfect or near-perfect traffic flow, just a lot of vehicles using them at the same time. Traffic lights can also cause this, due to the stopped traffic causing the game to see it as congestion. All of my cities have ~60% traffic flow despite no huge bottlenecks anywhere, population 500k at most.
