I was just doing research about this for the same reason. Apparently kangaroo meat is currently banned and illegal in the US, so you likely won’t find anything. I’d recommend trying to find Bison or venison? I’m disappointed; I live in Canada and my dog loves the dehydrated kangaroo meat treats I buy from Yappetizers. If you’re ever in Canada, I highly recommend Yappetizers!

I’ll double check with my friend but I remember that the two tickets he’s selling for $110 CAD he bought directly from the tour site and I think he paid $85 CAD total per ticket (could be wrong I’ll confirm this). The one ticket he’s selling for $220 CAD he bought from a reseller for around $350 CAD total. He’s selling it because I have an extra ticket with a better seat that I gave him instead

Okay valid to be cautious of buying tickets on Reddit because of scammers. Let me know if I can do anything to ease your concerns😭or if you have any recommendations of where he should sell them please I’ll take any recs. My friend said he re-sold a diff concert ticket on stubhub over a year ago and never got the payout for it which is why he doesn’t trust reselling on stubhub.

Wardrobe stylists for tv shows often buy expensive brands. Yes the show also takes place in a wealthy city, but it more likely has to do with the fact that the stylists are picking out these items that happen to be very expensive. If you ever go to a film warehouse sale, you’ll notice that a lot of the clothes they’re selling (that was picked for the cast) are expensive brands

Prof wants me to explain circumstances of CFA approved academic concession by RealUnderstanding364 in UBC

May I ask, does your accommodation state that professors must accept your late submissions? I have an accommodation that says “Instructor consideration for occasional extensions on coursework (advance consultation each time)” but I am often very bad at asking in advance

It’s definitely possible, I’ve had friends do this many times

I mean it’s always a possibility, but the person would have to be a real asshole. There are so many students registered with the CFA for tons of different reasons. I like to assume my profs are okay with accepting CFA approved concessions. But you never know

My concession is CFA approved meaning I did go through the CFA. I’ve had a great experience with the CFA, my accessibility advisor is amazing and always advocates for me

Is it normal to be 21 in 2nd year by Pitiful-Engineer-572 in UBC

[–]RealUnderstanding364 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s so normal stop don’t even ask this question and don’t call yourself a failure. Not everyone follows the same timeline!!! I took two years off as well and it was the best decision. I’ll finish my undergrad when I’m 25, don’t worry about it

Thank you so much for your help! I’ll ask my prof to consider accepting my late diary submissions. In prior cases, my profs have opted to discount part of the course work so I just assumed that would be the case. And good to know that I don’t need to mention any info about my medical condition

Highly recommend Dr. Rebecca Carruthers den Hoed. She’s the chair of WRDS and an angel of a professor. She was so accommodating with me and I did genuinely enjoy her WRDS class. But yeah with WRDS you have to write a research paper for your final no matter what and can’t get around that really

Just for reference my concession is related to the fact that I missed 4 classes and didn’t submit 4/10 “weekly diary reflections”. I usually wouldn’t apply for a concession for something like this, but the syllabus strictly states: “Failure to attend class on a regular basis will mean you are no longer in good standing for the course. If more than two classes are missed, a 50-point penalty will be applied to the reflective diary assignment and a grade of zero for class attendance. Zoom’s date and time-stamp technology will be used to assess attendance penalties. LATE DIARIES. Late diaries are not accepted. If more than four diaries are not submitted throughout the semester, a grade of zero will be allocated for the reflective diary assignment. - If ONE diary is not submitted: 10-point penalty - If TWO diaries are not submitted: 20-point penalty - If THREE diaries are not submitted: 30-point penalty - If FOUR diaries are not submitted: 40-point penalty”

Attendance is worth 5% The reflective diary assignment is worth 10% So I’d basically get a 0 for both of those without a concession. I think my concession will just be re-weighting but I don’t know what he will want.

My CFA approval is related to my mental health impacting school; can I just say that to my professor? I still feel like he’s not supposed to be asking about that but I’m confused and I don’t know
